Organize Your Day, Stay Disciplined: Effortless Steps to a Productive Life
Discover Simple Daily Habits That Transform Your Routine and Boost Your Success
In the previous article I published yesterday, we discovered the discipline topic and the importance of this with you.
Check the article below to learn why people with good discipline are more successful and have better lives.
In this article, we’ll look at some methods and tips that work. As a productive person, I often learn and try new to achieve more.
Let’s take a look at some of them.
Morning Routines
It’s probably one of the most important things you can do for your success.
You may find many people on the Internet who say it’s not essential and doesn’t work.
I have tried two ways: with morning routines and without them.
I found one interesting thing for me. If your morning routines take a lot of time, you feel tired and can’t do much work. At least it was with me.
So, for some time after waking up, I started immediately working. But often, I felt tired and without any energy.
Also, often, I feel pain in my back and neck because of the sitting work. That’s why I’ve started thinking about what I can do better with it.
From articles written by James Clear and some Youtube shorts, I found for myself one answer.
I will do quick neck and back exercises for 1.5 minutes every day.
Immediately after making that decision, I added some more things I would do in the morning that would be limited to 1.5 minutes each.
So, I’ve started doing the following things:
- stretching
- meditation
- squats
- push-ups
- neck exercises
- back exercises
Also, sometimes I write for 1.5 minutes as well. But it’s an additional thing for me as a writer.
So, what do I get from all these things?
I have done this already for several days, and in comparison with previous weeks, when I haven’t done this, I got the following benefits.
Now, in the morning, I have:
- better mood
- more energy
- body feels better
- fewer pains
I’m spending less than 10 minutes each morning on these routines. I don’t read or meditate for 10 minutes. Even if I decide to do this, I will do it for 1.5 minutes.
Then, later in my day, when I pause, I can do reading for 10–15 minutes.
But in the morning, I need to have breakfast and give my body and mind these 10 minutes of routines that will do me better in both the short and long terms.
Make Pauses
Another thing I found for myself is that it’s essential to have pauses.
I don’t use the Pomodoro technique because it doesn’t work. I can work without any interruptions for one or two hours.
Then, if I need to, I can stand up and eat something, rest, or play with my cat.
My body and mind will tell me when I need to rest. If I feel tired or work is too difficult, I will take a pause and continue later.
Usually, we can’t stop working even if we are tired because of the feeling of failure. But it’s a part of the process.
To improve outcomes, we must take care of our brains and minds.
Learn New Things
Nobody can say that he knows everything.
At least some people have already had some success. But even they continue learning new things.
That’s why I continue learning. I found the following interesting topics: writing, entrepreneurship, marketing, design, and sales.
I learn them and take time during a day or a week to read several articles and watch some educational materials on these topics to become more innovative.
One thought that makes me do this is that.
I want to know more and be a better person in one year.
This idea pushes me forward; I can’t stay in one place.
I understand that there are so many questions that I want to get answers to.
That’s why I like to read books, learn new things, and keep going.
Develop Habits
Our habits are the basis of all the things we discussed above.
You and I become better if we get good habits. Otherwise, if we have good habits, they will take us in the right direction.
Imagine if you spend the whole morning on Instagram and TikTok.
Sometimes, I open these apps. But only when I do want to have some relaxation. And I do this only for several minutes.
The main problem with these apps is that they may need more time from us.
I checked the phone screen time of some of my friends, and I was shocked.
Some used TikTok for 2 hours and Instagram for 1.5 hours. Can you imagine it? Sometimes, I have the same problem with YouTube.
But when you generally spend 4 hours of your day on stuff that doesn’t help you grow up, this situation is a terrible idea.
We don’t have so much time to spend on useless things.
That’s why developing good habits is essential to fill the time we spend on bad ones. I highly recommend you read the following article and check out the website of James Clear, a professional on this topic.
Summary
Develop good morning habits, care for your body and mind, and keep learning new things.
Self-improvement is an essential part of our lives. If you want to be better, then learn how to be better.
Step by step, improve your days, time, and life.
