Organise a Neat Clutter in All Your Spaces

How can we make our cluttered items neat?

Clutter is often quite disorganised and untidy. To be neat, we often have to reduce all the mess.

I like to be neat in my personal spaces, always trying to remove as much clutter as possible. For our discussion today, I am talking about areas like your house, your room, your desk etc.

Most people try to make their areas neat by decluttering. However, it is sometimes impossible due to a busy period of your life.

Hence, I suggest that you make your spaces neat, even though they are cluttered or messy.

I learnt this concept when I visited a friend’s house many years ago. That visit left a deep impression on my mind.

His house has a lot of clutter. I saw many shoes on the floor and books, folders and other stationaries on his desk.

What impressed me was this. All the shoes are aligned parallel to the walls or at a perfect right angle to the walls. All his stationaries and books on his desk are neatly arranged like cars in a car park with parking lines.

As you can imagine, although there is much clutter, everything is either vertically straight, parallel, or right angle to any walls or cabinets. It was all neatly arranged. Hence, I coined the term neat clutter.

So, I learnt something. When we cannot get rid of any clutter for the time being, re-arrange your clutter very neatly. It may be acceptable to our eyes because they are a neat clutter.

Of course, reducing the clutter or hiding some items on your shelves is good if you have time. But at worse, it is still impeccably neat.
