The Joy Of Life — Review On Spirituality and Other Topics

As I read the stories from The Joy of Life, I was inspired by each story as they touched my heart, causing me to reflect on my journey from a child to an adult.

The two stories by Dr. Gabriella Korosi that inspire me are The Wonders of Spirituality and Spirituality and A Way of Being, which inspired me and also sent me back to my childhood where I experienced my first encounter with God.

Some brought me back to my childhood. Some reminded me of the faith I had as a child and others reminded me of the pain and anguish caused by my mother. However, those wonderful experiences helped propel me toward my destiny, making me the strong woman, sister, aunt, mother, wife, mentor, and friend I am today.

Dr. Preeti Singh’s story that touched my heart: Spirituality is the Gift of Love reminded me that prayer is powerful. And by praying it will be that door to bring me into communion with God, a guiding force to live a sober, and humble life and by committing to prayer I will lead a life of success. A few years ago my prayer changed, as if someone was telling me whatever I earn was not only for me alone. I was amazed.

As I enjoy Dr. Preeti Singh’s words, some brought me back to my childhood. Some reminded me of the faith I had as a child and others reminded me of the pain and anguish caused by my mother. However, those wonderful experiences helped propel me toward my destiny, making me the strong woman, sister, aunt, mother, wife, mentor, and friend I am today.

A strong woman of faith and godly character.

Storytelling is truly one of the best ways we strengthen and preserve our traditions while passing them down through generations so that they can understand and appreciate our culture. The first three chapters, written by Doctor Gabriella Korosi and Dr. Preeti Singh, discussed spirituality's wonders and gifts. Both agreed it is about loving and caring the way God does. I want to agree that spirituality is truly loving and caring for God’s creation, including his masterpiece, MAN.

Spirituality means that a mighty sovereign God is watching over me. It’s having a close relationship with God, pleasing him, and living according to his righteous standards.

The question was asked if I have had any spiritual experiences. Yes. I have many spiritual experiences. I will share one of them.

As a young child growing up, I went to bed one night and in my dream, I saw a man standing over my bed, which was at the window. I was so afraid that I could not scream out. It appears as if he took my voice. He had this huge coconut and he dropped it in my head. I jumped out of my sleep crying. For that entire week, I thought I was going crazy. My mother didn’t know what was wrong with me. I was afraid to sleep. I told my mother about the dream and what happened in it. She kept me home from school and kept a vigil over me.

A few weeks later in another dream, I was out in the yard playing with several children. I looked up and the sky came right down to the level of our house. Staring up at the sky, I saw a very huge eye. One eye looked down at me and I heard a voice saying, “My eyes will always be on you.” No one around me heard that voice. Fast forward to today, His eyes were and are still watching over me. Whenever I am in danger, He is there to guide and protect me. I know he is there because I can feel his presence.

I have never gotten messages from beyond. I don’t believe anyone from the dead ever comes back to share what is beyond the grade. I only have what the Bible says.

I love what Dr. Preeti Singh says about spirituality. Prayer has been a part of my life ever since I met the Lord. In many of my toughest challenges, I have found prayer to be my strongest weapon. In prayer, I gained the strength to overcome and stand firm. Prayer is keeping me in communion with the Lord and is my companion in the darkness.

This book is awesome, and I recommend that you get your copy. You will not regret your investment. You will be inspired, motivated, uplifted, entertained, and educated while learning and feeling the Joy the title states.
