On Counter-Strike 2’s First Day, xQc Managed to Get Himself $30K Worth of Skins
xQc did a case opening on the day of CS2’s release and got very lucky.
In some of my past posts, I’ve chatted about all sorts of stuff involving Counter-Strike and xQc. You can find the links to those at the end of this one.
But right now, let’s talk about xQc’s crazy good fortune when it comes to cracking open cases on the day Counter-Strike 2 dropped.
In less than a day of Counter-Strike 2’s release, streamers are already flaunting their ‘world firsts’ by snagging some seriously rare and bankable skins. Let’s talk about the legend himself, xQc, who pulled off some jaw-dropping stunts on day one, raking in skins worth more than your annual rent.
First up, he scores a Karambit Doppler with a wear rating of 0.06 from a regular case. Now, that’s a knife you’d have to shell out a cool $1,100 for on trading sites. xQc’s reaction? Well, as composed as anyone can be.
Now, let’s get real, folks. It’s unlikely that this Karambit Doppler is the very first of its kind in CS2 history, considering how this game is already Steam’s hottest potato just 24 hours in. But who cares about the first when it’s worth a small fortune? xQc, being xQc, doesn’t stop there.
So, the streamer goes on a skin spree. He’s trading in batches of 10 rare skins, hoping to hit the jackpot with a single hyper-rare skin. And, guess what? Lightning strikes! Sure, there were a few duds along the way, but he managed to pull off one of the craziest lucky streaks ever.
In just three trade-ins, xQc scores an AK-47 Fire Serpent, an AWP Gungir, and an AWP Dragon Lore, which is basically the Holy Grail of Counter-Strike skins. These skins are a collector’s dream, and guess what? All in factory-new condition. Heck, the Fire Serpent even comes with StatTrak, tracking stats as you go.
CSGOSkins says these bad boys are worth around $5,000, $12,500, and $12,000, respectively. But that Dragon Lore with its jaw-dropping 0.005 wear rating could easily skyrocket in value.
Final Words
So, summing it up, we’re talking about around $30,000 worth of skins in xQc’s pocket within a single day of CS2 going live.
Makes you question your life choices, doesn’t it? If you want to witness the magic yourself, check out xQc’s clips channel which will be linked below.
