The A to Z challenge: Photo stories that start with A

ANTLERS
I was at Yellowstone. I step away for five minutes, and this hunk shows up. Isn’t he gorgeous? He stayed long enough for hubby to get a photo but darted away mere seconds before I got back. I missed seeing him.
ARTIFACT

Dictionary.com defines “artifact” as: Any mass-produced, usually inexpensive object reflecting contemporary society or popular culture.
I bought this t-shirt for my granddaughter, Kai, in a gift store at the Old Faithful site in Yellowstone. A mass-produced, inexpensive memento. Every place I visit, there are two things I pick up: fridge magnets for me and t-shirts for the grandkids.
ANOLE

The Anoles in my garden are hibernating now. I used to call them “Geckos” until I read a post by Christopher Lovelace @ChristopherLovelace about anoles.
That’s one of the great things about Medium. You get to read across myriad topics, genres, and writing styles. You learn something new every day.
ANCESTRAL HOME

My grandparents’ home in India. Fallen into a bit of disrepair now. This is where I spent every summer until I was fourteen. I couldn’t go as often after that because the demands of high school caught up with me.
The left-hand corner of the balcony was right by the branches of a guava tree. It was a favorite route for monkeys to climb onto the balcony. When my cousins and I ran up to the balcony in our game of hide-and-seek, the monkeys would bare their teeth to scare us away. They scampered off if we had an adult with us.
ATTENUATION

Growing up, I yearned to be tall, thin, and long-stemmed. I should have been careful what I wished for.
