New Writers That You Will Love
The 3 X 3
It’s funny how the messages we need seem to serendipitously find us. I happened on two Tedx talks, 10 Things I Learned After Losing a Lot of Money and What They Don’t Tell You About Entrepreneurship, that spoke to exactly where I am on my entrepreneurial journey. While people around me congratulate me on my success, I know I have a long way to go to make a living working at my mission and passion. These presentations, and a few episodes of Ted Lasso, reaffirmed that my dream is possible. Heck, I didn’t even mind the 16 hour day I spent creating Google Ad campaigns for life coaching and English training. Welcome new clients!
Fortunately, Friday gave me a reprieve of sorts, and I was able to spend some time publishing stories for ILLUMINATION. That brought to light some writers I’d like to share with you in this edition of The 3 X 3.
Let’s start this week with LM. Her writing is authentic and emotional. She excels at sharing stories of vulnerability and reflections on life.
The Bend in the Branch is her tribute to the untold suffering of first responders and the emotional challenges of their work.
She Is Me celebrates the eternally innocent spirit in all of us. Living with passion helps me to feel a sense of wonder in life. If you are missing that, this story will help to rekindle it in you.
Apart from the beautiful image in Duende, this poem is exceptionally inspiring.
While he is not a writer in the Illumination group of publications yet, beyond introducing you to my friend Everett Ofori, I hope it also introduces him to our publications. Everett has been through many unusual experiences as he made the long journey from his home country of Ghana to Tokyo, Japan. Here is a story about one leg of his journey.
In this one, he shares an experience in learning Japanese. A tall task for most of us ex-pats, regardless of how long we’ve lived here.
In this last story, he explains how you can get an MBA even if you have not completed an undergraduate degree.
Our final writer this week is quite skilled at engaging other content creators here on Medium, David Pahor. In this story, he shares a thoughtful poem in response to the musings of Marcus aka Gregory Maidman.
As a child, he did his best to try convincing his mom that their family was visiting earth from another planet. And in this piece, he offers us an escape route from the terrible situation at hand in which freedom fighters from all over the world are coming to Ukraine’s aid.
As we wrap up this week, here is his note of thanks to Medium. What would the world be without you?
Thank you for reading. I hope you take the time to engage with these terrific writers. Until next week… I need to go and find some more clients.
Win the Day!
