Netflix Just Announced a Huge Audio Upgrade

According to Netflix, you can now enjoy spatial audio on over 700 of its most popular titles, including Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.

What is spatial audio?
Spatial audio is a technology that creates a three-dimensional sound experience, allowing sounds to be positioned and moved in virtual space.
This enhances the audio experience, making it more immersive and allowing the listener to feel as if they are surrounded by sound.
In film, television, and music, spatial audio can create a more realistic and engaging experience for the viewer or listener.
Spatial audio technologies like Dolby Atmos and Sennheiser’s Ambeo are commonly used to create a more dynamic soundstage for movies, games, and music.

However, it’s important to note that this technology is not the same as Dolby Atmos.

But there’s a catch. This new spatial audio feature is only available to Premium subscribers. In addition, Netflix is also increasing the number of supported devices for offline viewing from four to six.
This means that if you’re a Premium subscriber, you can download more shows for offline viewing.

The company is cracking down on password sharing, which means that if you want to watch Netflix in more than one household, you will have to pay more.
