Nancy’s 100-Word Drabble Challenge
If you don’t want to end up in Drabble Court, please link another story you enjoyed in the Drabble series.
This is a community of shared love — not rule-breakers.
Jury — is the random word of the day.
If you’d be kind enough to spend 30 seconds highlight a word respond kindly I’ll get paid for my work ❤️🎶
“Members of the jury, I put it to you that the defendant is guilty only of a Crime of Passion. Ms. Dupre shot Harry Hogg dead two days after they met in Paris, a city of brilliant people. She fell in love. The third day he told her that he was leaving. Ms. Dupre was heartbroken.
That night they fell into a heavy sleep on linen shores. It was an encounter as perfect a sorrow as one could imagine, a faultless moment to end it.
Ms. Dupre put the pistol to his temple as he slept. A Crime of Passion.”
