My May Interview Challenge

Thank you, Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她) for the prompts that get us thinking and writing!

Here are my responses.

[1] What did you like to do most when you were 10? They say that this hobby is likely what brings you the most joy in life — is this something you still do?

When I was ten, I rode my bike for hours every evening, and I practiced Karate three times a week. I do none of these now and haven’t in years.

I’m still active, in a sense. I do enjoy working out four or five times a week. It brings me joy and sore muscles.

[2] What genres do you write? Why do you choose to write with these types of structures? What’s attractive about them?

I focus on non-fiction articles on personal growth, self-improvement, life purpose, and parenting. I’ve never tried poetry or fiction.

I enjoy reading non-fiction, and I like to write helpful articles. Not to say that poetry and fiction aren’t helpful. I just don’t know how to use them to help others.

[3] What’s your all-time favourite childhood TV show?

An all-time favorite is tough. I remember watching Tom & Jerry as a young child.

[4] Pick one sense and tell us about the most relaxing thing you do in relation to that sense.

Taste — I eat.

I like to say “I workout to eat”.

[5] Who is someone you want to connect more with this month? How might you go about doing this?

I know I need to connect more with people, but I’ve never put a plan. I’ve never thought of it this way. I have no answer at the moment. This requires a lot of thought.

This or that?

Bold your choice!

  • olive oil and butter. Can I say both? I mean, I love butter with eggs and butter with jam. But I also love olive oil with Italian pasta, Greek yogurt, olives, etc.
  • e-books and physical books. I enjoy physical books more, but e-books are more convenient. You can read them anywhere, anytime!
  • libraries or bookstores. We don’t have libraries where I currently live. If I were back in London, I’d chose libraries.
  • noodles or rice. Way more options with rice.
  • messy desk or organized desk. I’d like to think it’s organized.
