A personal Curation: A Few Words

My Favorite Stories From A Few Words

What if we supported each other?

I shared some of my favorites yesterday.

It was a fun exercise, and a few people read and clapped for it. However, that wasn’t the purpose behind it. The idea is to promote the people you’ re highlighting, whose stories touched you.

I don’t know how many people here actually look at the publication’s homepage to see what’s there. I know I never did.

But ever since I joined #ILLUMINATION, where Dr. Mehmet Yildiz and the editors pick out one article to feature for the day on the home page, and many others are curated, I feel like that is an excellent way to support your writers.

Even before Illumination, I was writing for Top 3, and I was highlighting three stories twice a week from what I had read. It is a useful publication, and I continue to curate there. Daryl Bruce does a great job of getting them published daily. My gratitude to Agnes Louis for staying atop this forum as well.

So here the once I enjoyed today.

Denitsa Kisimova wrote about growing up and how hindsight is always 20/20. I don’t think she used that term, but that’s the gist of it.

Dilpreet Kaur Virk has a beautiful poem about life and accepting what is.

Sadhana G has a philosophical perspective comparing life with a sparrow’s nest. She says sparrows are considered good luck in Chinese culture.

Carolyn Riker beautifully describes her feelings about our current situation. I love this part.

This crisis is not — one-size-fits-all.

Trust what makes you feel better.

And finally, one of my favorite people, not just a writer on Medium, Chris Hedges 🦄 writes about accepting herself as she transitions into a new phase in her life.

Please take a few minutes and read these stories and support these beautiful writers. No claps are necessary for this, save them for the curated pieces here.

Now it’s your turn.

As always, thank you for reading.
