My 100th Story on the Medium Platform

A Self Reflection

On 9th October 2022, I self-published my first story on the Medium platform. Little did I know that this journey did not end on that day, but continued until I wrote my 100th story today.

What began as a timid step into the world of online writing has evolved into an empowering experience, as Medium has provided a perfect channel for me to express my thoughts, ideas, and narratives.

When I first stumbled upon Medium years ago, I am impressed by the simplicity of its layout and the consistency it enforced across the different stories. For years, I am content to just be a devoted reader of the amazing stories shared here. Never in my wildest dreams have I thought of contributing to this platform as a writer.

Medium has also proven to be an amazing platform that enables me to share my photography work with the world. Before writing for Medium, my photos were largely confined to the depths of my computer or the albums on my phone, unnoticed by anyone. This platform has provided me with an ideal way to showcase my photos through storytelling and connecting me with a global audience that appreciates my work.

Medium has also helped in my personal growth and artistic development. Each time I prepare a story to accompany my photographs, I find myself delving into research in order to provide meaningful context to my images.

This process not only enhances the narrative, but also deepens my understanding and appreciation of the photographs themselves.
