Did you decide to join us at the cabin? That is awesome! We’re going to be so happy to read your stories!

But before submitting your post to us, please check these few rules to make sure that we can approve it straight away!

What we will Publish:

  • Complete, edited, and grammatically-ok-enough articles. Check your post with Grammarly before submitting it to us: it’s free! We will do the same: if your post has a few obvious mistakes we will correct them and if it has a few minor ones, we will leave them be (Grammarly is not always right, or maybe your unique voice comes out best with a few imperfections, etc.). But if your post lights up with mistakes like a Christmas tree, we will have to ask you to work on it some more.
  • We are happy to host both drafts and work already published on your profile, as long as it fits with the topic and follows these rules. Be aware that an already published story will retain its original publishing date and could end up buried under newer ones. Later on we will figure out a way to give more exposition to older stories as well.
  • Only Human-written articles, featuring human-created pictures. We love our human artists, including photographers, and want to support them.
  • Only things that fit with the topic. This publication is about music in the broadest of meanings. We accept all forms of writing about music (poetry, lyrics analyses, personal essays about a concert experience, etc.) If it can relate to music even loosely: we will love reading it!
  • Technicalities. All articles must have a title in title format and at least one picture. All pictures must be copyright-free and properly captioned. We are ok with promotion links and affiliate links but if the whole article sounds like a sales pitch, we’ll have to turn it down. We reserve ourselves the right to make case-by-case decisions if something wasn’t covered in these rules and, of course, to add new rules if needed.

What we will not publish:

  • AI-written posts or posts featuring AI-generated images. Let us repeat ourselves: we love our human artists and want to support them, photographers included. We reserve ourselves the right to pass your article through an AI detector if needed.
  • Anything offensive, excessively vulgar, or in violation of the rules of Medium.
  • Anything containing pictures without captions or pictures violating copyright.
  • Anything that feels too much out of topic. This publication is broadly about music.

If you don’t know how to do something, please ask in the comments: we will be happy to explain.

That’s it!

We hope to read from you soon!
