MindsEye Is an Upcoming Action-Adventure Game by Former GTA Producer
Leslie Benzies teased his upcoming “futuristic game-within-a-game.”

Leslie Benzies, the former president of Rockstar North, announced Everywhere in early 2017. The game was described as a “multi-world game experience that blurs the line between reality and the digital world,” but it was not exactly a metaverse.
Instead, it was seen as a more grown-up version of Roblox. Recently, Benzies’ studio, Build a Rocket Boy, teased the first game about being set in the world of Everywhere called MindsEye.
MindsEye is a high-octane, AAA, story-driven action-adventure game set in a world of futuristic corporations, conspiracy theories, and sinister new technologies.
It’s important to note that MindsEye and Everywhere are two separate products. Everywhere is a platform and hub, described by Eurogamer as a vast 3D space with various themed biomes that provide users with portals to user-made mini-games and online events.
Anyone can create and share mini-games using Everywhere’s tools and assets and then publish and share them through their own personal hubs. Particularly popular games may also be showcased on Everywhere’s central hub.
Benzies wants to make more than just a video game; he wants to create a place where people can come to play, build, and share their experiences.
MindsEye, on the other hand, is a full-scale big-budget game, presumably beyond what Everywhere’s users will be able to create. Each chapter of MindsEye will tell a separate standalone story within an overarching narrative, and as each chapter is released, content from it will be made available to users Everywhere.
The game will be episodic, and Build a Rocket Boy has not revealed much about it beyond the teaser.
Assistant game director Adam Whiting said that the big ambition is to modularize the tools used to make MindsEye and then give them to players so they can make really awesome cinematic, immersive experiences. Everywhere is expected to go live sometime in 2023, first on PC, with other platforms to follow. MindsEye does not yet have a release date.
Benzies and his team want to create something more than just a game. They want to create a platform where users can come together to create and share experiences.
The vision for Everywhere is to be a place where players can explore a vast, interconnected world and create their own stories and experiences. This is why they are taking their time to create a game that is fun to play, easy to use, and accessible to everyone.
Creating a platform where users can create and share experiences is not new. Many other games have tried to create similar experiences, but few have been successful.
The key to success, according to Benzies, is to create a platform that is easy to use and accessible to everyone. This is why they are developing a powerful and user-friendly platform.
