Men, It Serves You to Acknowledge a Woman’s Spirituality
As James Brown has famously said, “This is a man’s world, this is a man’s world. But it wouldn’t be nothing, nothing without a woman or a girl.”

Yes, women tend to be more spiritual than men, because we have our monthly cycles that to some degree are tied to the lunar cycle, and we bear children. Our bodies are literal portals to new lives. So I do not feel humble in saying that women are more intimately connected to the divine.
This is not to negate that men hold divine power, that they indeed hold the divine life force that women become the sacred vessels of to carry new life into the world. Men, acknowledging a woman’s spirituality can only help to enhance your own spirituality, to help you and her together vibrate on a higher spiritual plane.
This is also why I’ve come to ascribe to a tantric path. As per the Swann Center for Intimacy and Relationships, “Tantra is a Sanskrit word meaning “to weave and expand.” The tantric path is non-dualistic, meaning there is no separation of the physical world and the world of spirit.
Tantra sees the two as intertwined and heightens our awareness that all the threads of our experience are part of the divine tapestry of life.”
This is why I have become so emphatic about protecting my energy, and about the necessity of men approaching women, dating, and intimacy in a spirit that serves to raise rather than lower the vibration. Sexuality and sensuality are extensions of our spiritual selves, and we should be conscious of our energies and how we relate to others energetically.
In an article that addresses how Judaism views women’s spirituality as compared to that of men: “Women are more soulful than men. While men may excel in physical prowess, women are far ahead when it comes to spiritual strength. Women are more sensitive to matters of the soul, more receptive to ideas of faith, more drawn to the divine than men. The feminine soul has an openness to the abstract and a grasp of the intangible that a male soul can only yearn for. This is why G‑d told Abraham, the first Jewish man, “Whatever Sarah your wife tells you, listen to her. Men have stronger bodies, women have stronger souls voice.” She was the greater prophet, her soul more intuitive than his.” This was from The Chabad Library online.
An article in Psychology Today, “Why Are Women More Religious than Men?,” also shows that universally, in cultures across the world, women tend to be more religious than men. The author acknowledges and explores reasons that this may be the case besides innate spirituality. The reasons given for women tending more than men to gather in community and seek both religion and spirituality include that women tend to be disempowered and considered second-class citizens as compared to men. The reasons given for women’s religiosity and spirituality serve all the more to support the argument for men showing respect, courtesy, and appreciation toward women.
When a man is in touch with his spirituality, or open to developing himself spiritually, and a woman similarly so, the union between both man and woman becomes spiritually charged. As per the Swann Center for Intimacy and Relationships, “When we are in touch with the spirit of connection within ourselves, we are then able to recognize and unite with the divine energy in others, leading to fuller, more profound relationships.” Thus, should we not strive to cultivate and show deep gratitude for the spiritual elements in both ourselves and our partners?
In The Way of Meditation, the author Chad Foreman cites Osho: “Tantra is the science of transforming ordinary lovers into soul mates. And that is the grandeur of Tantra. It can transform the whole earth; it can transform each couple into soul mates.” Tantra teachers also tend to agree that tantra, while clearly having a sexual element, is more about the ability to connect to oneself and the world on a holistic level; it acknowledges as well that sexuality is a central life force, and teaches us to channel that life force toward divine consciousness, awakening what can best be called a kundalini awakening.
A woman in touch with herself, her spirituality, her femininity, and her sexuality can help bring you two to higher dimensions together. While all good sex may be considered psychedelic and orgasmic in its ability to invoke ego-death and heights of bliss, tantric level sex can become a portal to a higher consciousness and to a way of being where one exists in a constant state of being in love with and connected to the world.
So men, it serves you to honor the sacred feminine, for she can help you rise in your own divine masculinity, and help you embody your most authentic, awakened self.
