Making Things Right

Georgina’s heart is shattered. Can this stranger piece it back together?

Georgina threw herself onto the bed in the BnB, sobbing, as all the pain and shock of the afternoon’s events hit her.

Mason had gone. Back to his bride-to-be.

As if he’d ever truly wanted her in the first place. How stupid could she have been? She’d opened herself to him, in every possible way. Their connection had been magnetic, magical, mesmerising. Or so she’d thought. Now she realised she’d just been a good fuck while his fiancee was doing the right thing and saving herself for marriage. Why would he want Georgina when he could have his perfectly pristine bride instead?

“Argh!” She let out a roar as she punched the blankets, as though she could somehow punch Mason in the process.

“Are you okay?”

Georgina twisted around, pushing herself so her back was against the wall.

A concerned frown from a too-pale face peered at her, the young man dressed strangely, a shirt with frills at the wrist and collar, dark trousers, pointed shoes.

“Sorry.” He raised his hands. “I didn’t mean to pry. I see you are not okay. Do you need some company?”

“I… Um… Who are you?”

“Sorry. I’m Jeremy. Just a guest. Passing through. You sound like you oughtn’t be left alone.”

Tears slid down Georgina’s cheeks, and she buried her face in her hands as the sobs wracked her body again. She didn’t know what to do. She’d come to visit Mason, and now he was gone, and she didn’t know anyone else she could reach out to for help.

Jeremy sat on the edge of the bed, reached out to brush a strand of hair behind her ear.

“Can I hold you, while you cry? It helps, I’m told. To get all the sadness out, in a safe place.”

Georgina usually hated letting strangers see her cry but something about Jeremy made her feel safe, so she nodded, burying her face in his chest as he slipped his arms around her.

“I thought he was the one.” She tried to explain. “He said he loved me too much. I thought he would leave her…” Tears fell again, and he handed her a handkerchief from a pocket so she could wipe her face. “His family would never approve of me, you know. And she’d be heart broken if she knew.” Georgina couldn’t keep the resentment out of her tone. “Apparently it doesn’t matter if my heart shatters as long as hers stays in one piece.”

Jeremy gave her a gentle squeeze. “He’s not worth it, you know. If he made you feel like this. There’s better men out there. Stronger men. Men who will stand up for themselves and what they truly believe in, and won’t let the whims of others stand in their way.”

She glanced up at him. “Like you?”

“Ha.” He laughed. “I can’t stay. But I can take your mind off your pain for a while, if you’d like me to?” His gaze flicked over her mouth, sending an unexpected rush of warmth spreading through her chest. She nodded.

His kiss was soft, lips barely brushing hers, but it was enough to release a pent up need inside her and she reached for him, pulling him closer, seeking out his tongue with her own. He responded in kind, and soon his hands were roving her body, grasping her butt and breasts as his kisses found her earlobe, her neck, her collarbone.

She clawed at his shirt, ripping it over his head to press it against her face and inhale the scent of him. His mouth found her other breast and he teased her some more, his fingers slipping over her stomach to brush through the curls below.

She’d never felt such desperate longing. She wanted him to wipe every memory of Mason from her skin, to devour her whole.

“Fuck me,” she whispered. “Please.”

“Already?”

She ground against his hand as she nodded. “Now. Use your fingers, your cock, everything. Take me. I want you to. I need you to.”

His gaze held hers as he slid his fingers inside, curling them just enough that they stroked her g-spot, somehow knowing exactly where to press and how much pressure to apply to send her hurtling over the edge.

“Oh my god! Fuck. Fuck. Fuck!”

She gripped his shoulders as the orgasm swept through her, hips bucking, legs spread as wide as she could spread them, as though that would help him move deeper.

“That was incredible.”

“I’m glad.”

Georgina blinked. For a moment she could see Mason through Jeremy’s translucent form, then Jeremy was gone, leaving a frowning Mason standing in the doorway.
