Stress is part of life, we all know that and there’s no way around it. Whether it’s a stressful situation at home, at work, or on the road, stress has become a natural phenomenon and it’s up to us to deal with it. How you lower your stress levels is up to you.

Reiki

One of the most effective ways to lower stress levels is Reiki music. As you listen to the soothing tones of the music and bells, you can feel yourself starting to relax. Some people relax to such an extent that they fall asleep.

Reiki music is not only beneficial for relaxation though but for a variety of ailments. Whether you suffer from lower back pain, neck pain, or low energy, there’s Reiki music to suit your needs.

Exercise

Exercises such as running, walking, cycling, swimming, boxing and dancing are excellent ways to lower stress levels, but unfortunately, not everyone can engage in these high-energy activities. People with heart problems, breathing problems, or other medical conditions have to find other ways to deal with stress. Consider some of the following.

Diamond painting

One way that people who can’t handle intense exercise can deal with stress is through diamond painting. For those unfamiliar with this activity — diamond painting is similar to cross-stitch and paint by numbers, except that with diamond painting one works with sparkling resin stones. By way of a specially designed applicator, the stones are one by one applied to a sticky pre-printed surface. The result is a picture that glitters as if set with diamonds. Hence the name, diamond painting. The repetitive motion of picking up the stones and applying them to the sticky surface is wonderfully relaxing.

Painting

Sketching, drawing, and painting can be equally relaxing, but not everyone has the talent to do so. For those who want to be creative, but have zero talent, this video might help. Anyone can do this.

Cross stitch

For years, ladies, and more recently gentlemen, have enjoyed cross-stitch. Some intrepid individuals design their own patterns, others buy them in a store or order them online, while others still prefer a pre-printed canvas. Doing cross stitch on a pre-printed canvas is certainly easier than following a chart that requires intense concentration but all are equally rewarding. The repetitive motion of the needle going up and down the canvas is relaxing and in the end, produces something beautiful.

Cleaning

Some people, when upset or worried, take to cleaning. They sanitize the bathroom, scrub a floor or polish furniture. While wiping, scrubbing, or polishing, one forgets all about a certain problem or works off aggression.
