Love. Leave. Transcend.

Vagabond Voices Writing and Living Prompt on Humanity.

Photo by Annie Spratt on Unsplash

Humanity,

this sea you swim, rich bath of sustenance, depths profound curtains of blue green and sunburst golden fracturing downward and outward boundaries undreamt.

Art and love cresting in movements, literature pulling, calls you back to the divine, you drift to the siren song of voices far off, or past, and yet, present. Buoyed by the simple flash of kindness most casual, sudden as the sheen of furtive silver fish in sunlight, here, then unseen.

You know too, the undertow poised to sink you into the sinister currents that flow seem to permeate everything, leaving the ink of hate to cloud the waters, dragging too many for too long in the slipstream of intolerance.

And so you splash ever wilder, ever free, sending effervescence and hope to bubble, and disrupt, So small, so in- significant, yet together we are the tide.

Humanity is the creative undertaking I’m inviting you to explore…

When it’s your inspiration, when you can’t live without it…and when you could just pack it up, leave it behind.

Or transform yourself into something new and fly away…

So how is humanity treating you lately? Inspiring you with the immortality of the arts and the transcendence of love?

Sending you tumbling through the depths wondering when you’ll resurface?

Or asking you to forge yourself anew? To reinvent? To transcend?

Join us for some shared stories of humanity…

Wherever you are right now, whatever you see right now, or feel. However, the reality falls together in prose, verse, images captured. The medium is your call, the message is yours.

Just one tiny invitation to consider: Mixed emotions? (Seemingly) conflicting realities? Rich realizations that what hurts the most also inspires you the most?

Give yourself permission to bring your contradictions along for the ride.
