Lucy (The Eggcademic) [she/her] finds this topic interesting because she feels quite similar about acts of services as gifts — they feel the two sides of the same coin. She loves giving but still hesitates and at times burdened when receiving, either a gesture or a gift. She reflects on this, on the slight mistrust of ulterior motive, on why even in kindness sometimes she finds it hard to truly trust and connect and be comfortable in another’s presence.
