Where are all you Writers?

My new publication is looking for blogs and articles from you.

But…

Yes, there is a but to this. The topic is a little more niche, but I’ll try to elaborate on it.

What is this Publication About?

This is called The ADHD Pagan. A recent incident gave me the idea for this publication.

Is it Just Going to be About Pagans with ADHD?

No, I am also accepting submissions from non-pagans with ADHD, neurotypical (Normal brained) pagans, psychologists, counsellors, therapists, coaches, scientists, researchers, and other neurodivergent writers.

What Submissions are You Looking For?

Both

• Personal experience with either ADHD, paganism, or both. Here are some examples of what I mean: Advice for People Who Want to Become a Pagan, Being Pagan/Wiccan, and I Admit it. I Have ADHD.
• Reviews on ADHD and Pagan products.
• I would like to hear from those of you who are both ADHD and Pagans about the different ways that you meditate, how you manage your symptoms with your practice, etc.
• You can review a podcast that is related to both topics.
• Stories and advice about ADHD and/or Pagan parenting.
• The only political articles I would allow are those related to health, the environment (Paganism is all about worshiping the earth after all), and racism. Unfortunately, there are a few white supremacist groups out there that disguise themselves as pagans (In which they are not). It is important that we address this as a community to let other minorities in as well. Here’s an example of an article that I wrote just on that topic: Racism in Paganism.

ADHD Only

• All the latest research and findings on ADHD. The article should, however, be written with the average reader in mind and not for academics.
• Solutions that you have to conquer one aspect of your ADHD. Whether it is clutter, lateness, impulsivity, or other things related to the condition.
• If you have ADHD, what are your wins and struggles at the moment?
• ADHD and relationships.
• Do you have a family member who has this condition, write about their experiences.
• How do deal with your ADHD at work?
• ADHD-related traditional or alternative medicine. I do not mind different treatments, medications, or other alternatives for the condition. However, I do have to abide by Medium’s rules when it comes to questionable health claims and Pseudo-Science. You should read more of that here. Otherwise, you do have to do your research thoroughly before submitting your article. And there are tons of fact-checking websites like Google’s Fact Check Tools and others that you should go to make sure that everything you have written isn’t fake. If I do find that the health facts are fake, I will not allow your work into this publication.

Pagans

• The pagan path that you are on.
• I don’t mind you posting articles on astrology, tarot cards, any deities you worship, spells that you would like to share, etc.
• Are you new to the pagan path? Write about your experience with that.
• You can also write an article teaching those that are not on the same path about paganism.

Other

• Additionally, you can write about depression, anxiety, autism, and other neurodivergent issues and/or the solutions you have to overcome them.

Note:

• There will be monthly themes related to both subjects for you to write about. As an example, I have one for October that I will not mention here. Please feel free to contact me if you have a suggestion for a monthly theme related to ADHD or paganism.

What is allowed:

• According to Medium.com’s rules, all photos and images must come from royalty-free sites such as Unsplash, Pexels, and Pixabay. Feel free to use your own photos as well.
• Please use Grammarly and other grammar-checking apps. If I do find a grammar mistake in your submission, I will let you know.
• You may use affiliate sites in your stories. But, according to FTC rules, you must disclose this in your blog. If you don’t then your article will not be published. Dr. Mehmet Yildiz has written about this here.

What is Not Allowed:

• Plagiarism is not acceptable. This is against the law. I do have a way to find out if you are plagiarizing someone else’s work. You will be kicked out of Medium if you do.
• Discrimination against anyone, regardless of race, gender, ability, sexual orientation, or religion. The same goes for Christian bashing. Although we also have Christo-pagans under our umbrella of this polytheistic religion, some pagans often do that. This also goes for any other religious writers who send me articles about how paganism is devil worship. I want this to be a bully-free publication.
• This publication will not include any other political issues other than what is stated above.
