Reflecting on my transition journey this week

WEEK 65 CHECK-IN:

Trans Life Past: Ok, this time, I’m writing it in my bullet journal — chats with Anton. We need to sit down and chat for reals and not just about Gender. Oh yeah, Christmas… Meh. Lol. Just a day for me. I’m going to reflect this week (and yes, I will add it to the bullet journal, lol) on my T journey looking at comaprisons of expectations and actual as well as what I’m happy with and what I’m not. I want to see where I am now compared to almost 15 months ago now!

  • So, Anton and I chose to nope this week. He was dealing with an Anasatasia thing, which of course means I was suffering with that too. It’s fine.
  • Can’t believe it’s been 15 months on T. What the actual f? So, let’s see. Body Hair - Expectation: Growing more body hair in places I didn’t before and extensive facial hair. - Actual: It ain’t just new hair, or more hair. It’s longer hair, different texture, so much more. But strangely, much of it is softer hair! Didn’t see that coming. - Happy with: Most of it actually. - Not happy with: The face hair — but you knew that! Least that’s been very slow and minimal. Mental Health - Expectation: Feeling more associated into myself. - Actual: OMG, I had no idea the mental health impact. It’s like everything works for the first time. - Happy with: Being better at handling overwhelm and not crying for no damn reason. - Not happy with: As is the way, when one thing works better, it frees you up to see other shit that has been ignored. But, I’m not NOT happy with it. Fat redistribution and muscle building - Expectation: None. I hoped I’d see a change, but I think dysphoria and imposter syndrome convinced me it would be minimal. - Actual: Amazing! I felt musle improvement immediately and my need for a belt is evidence of fat redistribution on the hips. - Happy with: Muscle definition is so much fun. I’ve never touched myself so much, haha. Not like that — get your mind out of the gutter, lol. - Not happy with: Again, I’m not NOT happy. but we’re splitting hairs when I say the muscle pain and cramps are ouchie. But I kind of like it too. Voice - Expectation: Some drop - Actual: This one is pretty much where I expected. I hoped for more, but who knows what else is coming my way? - Happy with: The ease with which I CAN drop my voice lower - Not happy with: Where’s my Adam’s Apple? Lol.

Priorities: 1. Writing — Publish #DearMoon

  • Oh, yeah, I did a thing!

One step for wolf, one great leap for Unhumans!

In the near future, NUSA, the Natural Unhuman Space Academy was created from a possibility. Could all the Un-Human kids running around (yeah, the ones pushing the population up even higher) do something for humanity other than just cause shortages in blood supplies (oh, those vampires), feast on the brains of the dead, (boy, were humans glad that the Zombies are too lazy to find their own food), and eat through the centaur farms quicker than the humans could breed them (wolf puppies are insatiable)? Could they make a difference, for the better? Could their unique traits be the perfect way for humans to explore deeper space with their current technology? Could they be the leap ahead the humans need — to survive? Or are they just kids?

#DearMoon isn’t the story of how these kids help the humans — that’s coming in the NUSA series. #DearMoon isn’t the story of the creation of NUSA — that’s coming in the NUSA prequel — the Wolf’s Heart. #DearMoon isn’t even the story of how the universe began…. and ended, that’s coming in a NUSA sequel — Sky Thaddy (working title). #DearMoon is the collective story of seven unhumans, strangers, and the moments their paths set them hurtling towards each other… for better or worse.

2. Health — Walk three new routes

  • Did I? I remember two. Lol. Then I think I forgot. OK, work in progress on the bullet journal and doing things.

3. Income streams — Add two listings on Etsy (my licence STILL hasn’t arrived so waiting to open my But Make it Gay store…)

  • So, nope. That didn’t happen. I called VicRoads to follow up with my licence and it finally made it to my hands on Friday. So, this week, I’ll be opening the store. Yay. In the background, I’ve been prepping some products. It’s a WIP.
