Listing Your Way to Success: Expanding Your Friends of Medium

A Handy Compendium of Friends of Medium, from A to Z

Introduction

Now, I’m a business professor and consultant by trade, so I know the power of networking! It is — literally — what makes the world go around — and what can propel you on the road to success!

I’m proud to be a founding member of the Friends of Medium program. As a writer, I consider the pieces that I share with the audience here on Medium to be some of the best work of my career! As an academic, it gives me pleasure to “write for the masses” and write things that people actually want to read — trust me, no one reads what you write for academic journals! But on Medium, my writing can have a global reach, and in furtherance of that, I constantly work to build my network here on Medium. I will friend anyone and everyone who follows me, as you never know where the next great idea — or opportunity, will come from!

Now, if you are not familiar with the Friends of Medium program, well, you should be! Here’s a selection of the best articles from Friends of Medium explaining what the friends program has done for them — and what it can do for you. If you’re on the fence about paying the extra dough to become a Friend of Medium, I will encourage you to do so, and I’ll let these friends of mine who are themselves, Friends of Medium, tell you a good bit more about the program.

The Monetary Benefits (Yes, you WILL earn more!)

The Benefits Beyond Money (Yes, there ARE many!)

The purpose of this article is practical, though! I wanted to expand my personal network here on Medium, and particularly, to reach out to like-minded writers (and readers) who were already Friends of Medium to connect with them (to follow and hopefully, to have them follow me back — effectively building my network with potential readers whose reads will pay FOUR TIMES more than a regular Medium member’s views!). So, I went about putting together a list of Friends of Medium from various sources and resources that I found on the Medium site. And now, I’m sharing that list with you!

The List

Currently (as of late January 2024), I have compiled this list of well over 500 Friends of Medium (presented below, and alphabetized for your convenience). If you’re like me and looking to grow your network here on Medium, both for more engagement and yes, more monthly earnings, well, these folks are the ones you DEFINITELY want to connect with! Please start with me (David C. Wyld), and then move on down the list — maybe not starting at “A,” so that the A’s, B’s, and C’s aren’t the only ones benefitting from this networking tool initially (Show some love for us at the end of the alphabet, too!). And do bear in mind that the Medium platform, like other social media sites, does have limits on the number of folks you can follow in a day (based on your activity), so the answer is “no,” you can’t follow all 500+ folks in an afternoon!

So, without further adieu, here’s the list — and yes, please use it to your absolute advantage!

Conclusion…And a Call to Action

I hope everyone will find this article highly useful as you look to build your network on Medium with fellow Friends of Medium. And if you are not already a Friend of Medium, I would strongly encourage you to become one, today!

If you are a Friend of Medium and I did not already put you on the list, don’t worry — I want to! Please leave your Medium handle as a comment on this article, and I will add you to this list! Indeed, I will be looking to create a sequel article (or a series of them) to this initial list as more and more of you join the Friends of Medium program. And yes, if you’d like to be an “unlisted” Friend of Medium, please also drop me a comment to that end and I will remove you from this compilation.

Good luck with your Medium pursuits, and let’s grow together to do bigger and better things here on the platform! And yes, please show some “Medium Love” in return by not just reading this article, but sharing it, clapping for it, and maybe even leaving a comment on it — even if you made the list already!
