Light in the Darkness

Day 95: Discovering the hidden meanings of life

This morning we woke up to darkness. As I went downstairs after getting up, I noticed my alarm clock was dark even though it was plugged in. My husband told me that at around three in the morning, our house alarm had been beeping. The power had gone out., but only to three rooms upstairs. My son and I are very heavy sleepers, so we did not wake up with the noise.

I cannot help but explore the spiritual signs of a power outage. Maybe there is a larger problem we are called to look at. It most likely is a whole circuit that is not working. It could be that the wires are not connecting. My husband is going to check some new outlets that he put in a few months ago to see if they are loose. If that does not work, we will call an electrician tomorrow.

Lately, I have had a gut feeling that I need to deep clean our house. I feel like there is something I need to examine closer and discover by slowly going through everything in our home. The power going out in three rooms seems like a significant sign to investigate. As I continue exploring in my final days during my 100-day spiritual journey, each experience brings with it a hidden meaning for me to discover. In the coming days, I look forward to delving deeper into everything around me, looking for the light.

Today I offer a poem as I ponder the meaning of our lights going off.

A glimmer of light in the darkness, We are never alone, Our spirit is here to assist us, Through every trial

A shimmer of hope in the room, We are never forsaken, Our intuition is here to guide us, Through every tribulation

A spark of love in our hearts, We are never broken, Our guide is here to help us, Through every mystery

A ray of sunshine in the storm, We are never-ending, Our angels are here to love us, Through every difficulty

My prayer and my intention for you today is that you look for the light in the darkness. We are never alone, even in difficult moments. If there is a broken circuit in your life, maybe there is a lesson there for you. Sometimes it can be a mystery for a while, but your spirit is working on communicating with you.

What lessons can you learn from what is happening all around you?
