Life after The Farm…
What kind of changes I need to take, now that Farm of Fortune is gone.

If you have been following me for a while then you may already know that I really liked Farm of Fortune (FOF) & The Fortune Hunters ecosystem.
Recently, they’ve been the victim of a massive DDOS attack, that caused a lot of havoc & fear. This then led to massive amounts of withdraws from Farm of Fortune, which in effect killed that project.
In this article, I'll look at some of the things that I have learned from this experience & some of the changes that I’ll need to make in the near future.
(NONE OF WHAT I WRITE IN MY ARTICLES IS TO BE TAKEN AS INVESTMENT ADVICE. I am not an advisor for this nor am I suggesting any financial action on your part. DYOR. NFA.)
FOF Dead?
The short answer is yes. The Long answer is time will tell…
You can read about what happened to the Fortune Hunters ecosystem & how it has effected Farm of Fortune (FOF) in my previous article.
What did I learn from this tragic effect?
Here is some of what I learned from this past weekend’s events. This is not a conclusive list. Things are still happening & I am still learning.
Anything can happen at anytime
- This attack came in unannounced & was very effective. One day everything was operating fine. Things were looking very good. My earnings & profits were increasing. Fortune Hunters team were “changing Defi.” Then BAM!!! DDOS ATTACK!!!!!
- This was totally unexpected by the team. We are still a small ecosystem & probably not a BIG target, or so we thought.
Be in profit & have a reserve
- Now there are lots of questions from a lot of the users about “their” money. Will they actually be refunded? How? When? How much? One of the major rules of Defi is to only invest what you are willing to lose. I still believe in this team & still believe that they will do what they have stated. That being said, most of the Defi projects out there are not like this team. This means that I need to be in profit as much as possible & keep some funds in reserve. I need to be playing with “house money” as much as possible. My reserve funds can be used to fund another project if needed.
Have patience with making profit
- I kind of knew this already but got a refresher lesson this weekend. I need to make ROI & then start playing with “house money.” Doing this might may take longer to make profit. I need to be strategic with my withdraws & reinvestments. I’ll continue to withdraw & reinvest back into the projects that I like. I just need to adjust the withdraw/reinvest ratio accordingly. (More to come on that in another article.)
A great team & community makes all the difference
- When bad things happen in Defi projects, everybody usually looks to the Dev team, to see what they are going to do next. I have to say that The Fortune Hunters team is one of the best out there! Craig, the team leader, was more concerned about the community than playing the blame game. A lot of projects will just close their telegram groups & disappear. This team didn’t. They are still here, still active in the telegram group, & still having AMAs. In crypto, it is all about trust, or lack there of. This team has done nothing but continue to build trust from all of the things that have happened & promises they have kept. This makes all the difference!
All these lessons mean nothing if they don’t change me.
Time for some changes
I like to have a plan before getting started in something. Then I’ll adjust the plan accordingly.

My New $110 Crypto Budget
Now, I have to figure out what to do with my money…
cryptozoaunleashed.com
Now is one of those times that I’ll need to adjust my plan, again, by doing the following:
- Adjust each of one the articles above, or maybe just rewrite them.
- Establish what percentage I want invested versus HODL.
- Take another look at how much of my $110 crypto investment to put into different projects & which projects to invest.
- Update my referral article & remove FOF from the list of recommended projects.
- Use DCA (Dollar Cost Averaging) & buying some tokens to HODL.
- Decide which tokens to HODL & how much of each.
- Decide on an investment goal for each project that I’m invested.
- Reassess each projects portfolio percentage in my crypto portfolio from time to time.
There probably more things that I need to change but that’s a start.
With everything. Time will tell whether it is the right decision or not.
