Abstract

on’t we all? We’re human! When I was in Korea, I was supremely jealous of the flawless and fresh-faced inhabitants. Their skin was perfect, not a pore or pimple in sight. I would go to Korea again to exploit their <a href="https://readmedium.com/the-next-time-i-visit-korea-i-am-doing-this-289153c1840e">skincare services</a></p><h2 id="81ff">What made you scared?</h2><p id="23ba">There might be more than one thing I can think of, but I’ll choose <b>“cockroaches from Malaysia”.</b> They are the size of your palm and they can fly. TRAVEL WRITING PROMPT

Let’s Share 10 Memorable Travel Emotions

I am so excited to read your responses to this writing prompt!

We experience many different emotions when we travel! Let’s capture the moments with this writing prompt.

In this story, I’m going to share one thing that elicited an emotion during my travels. You’ll see what I mean. Let’s get started!

What made you laugh?

I can’t think of anything in particular that made me laugh, but there are certainly a lot of events that made me happy. My happiest moment was when I saw the Northern Lights in Iceland! Nothing has topped that.

What made you cry?

Thankfully, I haven’t cried. The only time I came close was when my long-haul flight was delayed for over 4 hours. The urge to cry would have been from pure exhaustion.

What made you mad?

I was a bit mad when I got scammed in Korea. The hotel quoted me a price for the taxi, but when it came time to pay, it was a different amount! I had no idea what was going on, I could only pay it in frustration and move onto my merry way.

What made you bored?

There isn’t a specific incident that made me bored, but I think super long commutes make me bored in general. This might go for a lot of people. On car rides, there is only so much I can admire about the scenery. Then it starts to look all the same for awhile.

What made you anxious?

There were a few times where I was held up getting to the gate. I go by “if I’m not early, I’m late”. So if you have to arrive at the gate by 9:00pm and I get there at 8:00pm, I start feeling anxious. I’d rather get there super early and sit there and wait!

What made you jealous?

Yep. I felt jealous. Don’t we all? We’re human! When I was in Korea, I was supremely jealous of the flawless and fresh-faced inhabitants. Their skin was perfect, not a pore or pimple in sight. I would go to Korea again to exploit their skincare services

What made you scared?

There might be more than one thing I can think of, but I’ll choose “cockroaches from Malaysia”. They are the size of your palm and they can fly. UGH. I can’t think of anything more terrifying.

What made you disgusted?

I know exactly what I’m going to say here. I already wrote about it in a different story, but simply put, I think I slept in a bed that wasn’t cleaned from the previous occupant. EWWW!

What made you confused?

It seems like Malaysia is making me go through a lot of emotions! For feeling confused, I’ll be pointing to the sinks in Malaysia. They just seem so randomly placed! I’m not complaining though, that just means we can keep our hygiene meter in check.

What made you surprised?

There are many things I could use for this one! It’s hard to choose one, but I’m going to go with this..

For a bit of context, I first encountered this while I was in Malaysia. I had many questions! How doesn’t it spill? What about the environment? Why not just a regular cup? I didn’t really get answers, but I have come to see that it’s a normal way of life there.

And that’s all! I’m really eager to see what you guys will answer with this travel prompt. If you end up writing something, please feel free to tag me!

Oh — so far, Scott-Ryan Abt and Claire Elizabeth Levesque have asked me to tag them for travel writing prompts. If you’d also like to be included, please let me know in the comments below too! I’ll start making a list!
