Artificial Intelligence in bins? I know of many council and supermarket recycling containers that would benefit. Some people can’t even be bothered to put the correct items in the corresponding bin! Also, Fife, the county I live in, doesn’t recycle plastic bags.

I want to do everything I can to ensure packing gets recycled, sadly not everyone thinks the same way.

The Issue of Contaminated Recycling

According to CNN, throwing non-recyclable items (i.e., coffee cups, cardboard boxes) in with recyclable items in the recycle bin renders the recycling unusable.

I like two of Audrey Malone’s articles so much I thought you lovely readers might enjoy them too. She asks and answers her title question. I agree with her preference. What do you think? Would you?

The Elderly, Technology and Artificial Intelligence

We have all seen it, either with our parents or grandparents. The fact that many people in the older age groups do not like technology and are not technologically savvy. My mom, still won’t embrace technology. It’s a wonder she even has a touch-tone phone. But, this trend has changed quite a bit in recent times and there are many older people who know how to use technology well. So, seniors using robotic assistance shouldn’t be too scary — right?

My dad admires Elon Musk so much he insists on sharing the incredible man’s achievements with me on a regular basis. I admit I wouldn’t have gone looking for the information, but I am very impressed with the man’s work ethic, skills, and ethos.

I enjoyed reading about Mr Musk from Vivek Naskar’s point of view.

Undoubtedly Musk is an inspiration for Students, Programmers, Technology hobbyists, and Entrepreneurs. He reinvented and reengineered multiple industries in a short span of time.

For a new writer on Medium, Vivek does have rather appealing titles and then delivers the goods with his header images and texts. He got my attention with both of his titles, shared here with you. I reckon this writer is one to follow for his excellent life hacks.

Well, I bet I got you there and made you click on this article. But it is a genuine piece of article that really stops you apologizing unnecessarily and makes you feel less guilty. Well, truth to be told, many people consider “sorry” as the safe word which when used, makes them immune to the prying eyes of the people. But are you that person where you can hear yourself saying “sorry” over and over again for basic and normal requests which really don’t need an apology? Guess what, you are annoying people.

Stuart Englander drew me in with his title too. Who doesn’t like films, right? I’m delighted to watch a film again if I can’t remember the ending. This happens after about a year for me.

As a teenager living in my first bedsit, I watched old black and white movies on my black and white TV on Saturday afternoons. I’m not a big fan of monochrome these days when there are so many full technicolour to choose from, however, there are some amazing Film-Noir options.

I hadn’t watched the film Stuart is talking about until a year or so ago. It was brilliant and I will never forget the ending, but I might watch it again regardless.

The genre that’s known as ‘Film Noir’ came to prominence in the post-war era with the emergence of stars like Humphrey Bogart and Edward G. Robinson. Some still argue that film noir isn’t a true genre at all. Regardless of its name, however, there is one film that blazed a trail of artistry in cinema that can never be denied.

I hope you enjoyed this week’s selection of technology-related stories as much as I did.

Here’s last week’s fab five for you.
