Two days ago, when I first came to know that Sahil Patel has introduced a brand new pub named Reciprocal, it was like a surprise package for me.

The idea behind the pub is fascinating. Sahil Patel stated that,

“ The motto of this publication is to find support for your writing and become the support for others”.

I feel like he is talking about developing our support system. We, the writers, are nothing without our readers, and whatever outstanding we are in storytelling, it does not matter if we don’t have anyone to read.

So, we want to develop our audience, and we want genuine connections, and what could be a more simple way than supporting each other’s work to make connections?

Reciprocity will exclusively deal with community engagement, developing connections, and true partnership by the spirit of uplifting each other.

You cannot be a good writer without being a good reader.

So, reading is mandatory for pursuing our writing craft as a profession.

The title of the introductory story about the pub immediately stole my heart –It says We are Your Partner In Your Writing Journey.

I always believe in the strength of partnership in both personal and professional fields. Think about any business, job, marriage, or other relationship. Can any of these sustain without a solid engagement and partnership?

No one in this world can reach the summit without a support system.

Everyone needs that warm hug, words of appreciation, that matchbox to spark our passion. Our fellow writers and readers are our core support system in our writing journey.

Yes, you are my biggest strength in my writing journey, and your positive and uplifting words give me the courage to write another piece of my soul.

Without your support, my words would have timidly locked the door of my heart and stayed silent there. You accept me, that’s why I grow, and that’s why my baby steps matter.

So, I don’t want to miss the chance to be more engaged and connected with you. Do you?

Exclusive Features

The reciprocal pub will have three columns on the homepage of the publication.

Weekly featured column: Sahil will share the writers whose work is being shared more in the post of fellow authors during a week in this column. Won’t you like to be featured based on your fellow writers’ love?

Favorite Authors of Medium: In this column, we can share who is our favorite authors, why we like to read their work, and how their writing affects our life.

As a writer, I am excited about this column most as it would be a great learning opportunity as a writer. Reading a story as a writer is slightly different as it takes that analytical skill to notice even the tiny things to understand the author’s writing style.

Tips for Medium: Sahil will share tips and tricks about Medium. We are also allowed to submit our experiences about Medium. It would be like experience sharing column.
