LIFE
It’s Time To Accept That Life Isn’t Always Perfect.
Let's be real for a minute — life isn’t always perfect & that’s ok.
Ever had a bad day? Yep, we’ve all been there.
We’ve all woken up in a bad mood, we’ve all had something that’s gone wrong or gone in a way we didn’t expect it.
It doesn’t matter how perfect someone’s life may look on paper, or these days, on social media…
Let’s just be real for a minute — life isn’t always perfect & that’s ok.
If there are days where you wake up with zero motivation or times when you are filled with sudden self-doubt then this one is for you.
Here are 4 reminders to help you turn your day around, or at least leave you feeling better than you did 5 minutes ago.
It’s Ok To Ask For Help.
It’s common for us, as humans, to be independently minded and want to do things on our own. So asking for help can sometimes make us feel vulnerable but this is not a sign of weakness.
Think about the people around you. Your friends, your family, your neighbours and maybe even your colleagues — find your tribe, the tribe who you can consider as your ‘support team’.
Ask them if you can count on them for support. People love to help, so explain how you feel and let them know how and what they can do to help you.
It’s Ok To Have An ‘Off Day’.
Bad days are normal. These days will end just as quickly as they arrived so remember that you will always have a good day to look forward to.
If you’re not feeling yourself, today then don’t force it. You can restart your day and or mindset at any moment. Just because you woke up having a day, doesn’t mean the rest of the day can’t be reset.
If your motivation or mood is low today, that’s ok… just be patient with yourself.
It’s Ok To Say No.
If you’re burning yourself out because you can’t bring yourself to say no then stop right there.
You are allowed to say no and not feel guilty about it!
If there’s something you don’t want to do, then say no. If it’s something that will put you down or affect your energy and happiness, then also, say no.
You don’t have to say yes to everything!
It’s Ok To Set Boundaries.
Setting boundaries will allow you to recharge.
This doesn’t mean you need to kick everyone out of your life as a result but it’ll help you become more self-aware.
When we recognise our own feelings, it can be incredibly beneficial for our own welfare.
Not only will this help you establish your own limits and stop you from taking on any additional and unnecessary stress, but it’ll also help you be more compassionate towards yourself and others.
You can live a more fulfilling life if you set up healthy boundaries for yourself.
It’s so important to prioritise your self-care, mental health being your number one priority.
Listen to your body, and be sure to look after yourself.
Eat right, sleep well, be kind to yourself….
and remember, YOU are enough just as YOU are.
