Ever had one of those days where you’re not feeling 100% you? You’ve run out of juice or just simply searching for the motivation to pick yourself back up again? Yep. Me too.

We don’t need to remain positive every day, all the time. It’s normal and natural to have low days. It’s okay to feel sad or unmotivated, don’t beat yourself up about it.

Here are some reminders that it’s okay, not to be okay.

  1. Know that this feeling won’t last forever. It may seem that’s the case right now but things will get better.
  2. Stop putting pressure on yourself to remain positive every day. It’s normal to have days where you don’t want to get dressed. Feeling down is totally okay, even more so right now.
  3. Know that your friends and family are there to support you, listen to you and help you. Talking about your feelings is important and you’re never a burden.
  4. You don’t have to apologise when you’re not feeling yourself and you certainly don’t need to say yes to things you don’t want to do. Don’t want to go out tonight? Don’t.
  5. It may not feel like it right now, but you’re doing really great and you’ve got this.

A final reminder to yourself, all your feelings are valid yet out of your control, feel them, process them and let them pass.

Overcome your inner conflict and empower yourself.
