Summary

The article contemplates the complexities of AI's role in human society, questioning whether AI is meant to assist or replace humanity, and whether AI can truly emulate human qualities such as emotions, dreams, and love.

Abstract

The author reflects on the advancements of AI and its impact on humanity, pondering the intentions behind AI development—whether it aims to support or supplant human capabilities. The piece delves into the intricacies of human nature, noting qualities like feelings, a sense of humor, common sense, and the ability to dream, which are inherently human and challenging to replicate in AI. It questions the possibility of AI possessing a soul, conscience, and the capacity for love, suggesting that the diversity and unpredictability of human experiences make it unlikely for AI to fully impersonate humans. The article also touches on the philosophical aspects of human existence, such as fate and destiny, and wonders if AI can ever participate in these abstract concepts. While acknowledging AI's positive contributions, the author remains skeptical about the feasibility of creating a "perfect human being" through AI, emphasizing that the beauty of humanity lies in its imperfections and the connections forged between individuals.

Opinions

  • AI's attempt to replicate human qualities may be futile due to the complexity and depth of human experiences and emotions.
  • The author is doubtful about AI's ability to understand and integrate human concepts such as fate, destiny, and divine guidance.
  • There is skepticism regarding the possibility of AI truly dreaming or loving as humans do.
  • The article suggests that the pursuit of a "perfect human being" through AI is an unattainable goal, as perfection in humans is a myth and not reflective of our true nature.
  • The author implies that the essence of being human is linked to our imperfections, our need for connection, and the shared experiences that bind us together.
  • The piece conveys a sense of wonder about whether AI can achieve a balance between positive and negative human traits without fully understanding the depth of human life.

Is AI Here To Help Us? Or Replace Us?

AI might short-circuit in its attempts to impersonate humans because there is more to us than what can be seen through a microscope.

As I wondered about AI’s continued advancement and how it has helped and improved humanity in all areas of life, I must ask this question.

Is AI here to help us or replace us? There are plans to give AI feelings, a soul, curiosity, a conscience, a sense of humor, common sense, and other qualities and emotions humans possess. Some of these qualities come naturally. Others are learned through trials, errors, and life experiences. Some are inherited. Many come from the wrong decisions someone made, and more comes from life and being in the wrong place at the wrong or right time. Other qualities are passed down from generation and someone’s mistake. Human life and living are linked to a line of coincidences only Fate and Destiny can explain. We are the way we are for a reason, and time, fate, destiny, and balance help. Humans have Fate and Destiny as a guide. They have a God and religion as a guide too. Can AI use Fate or Destiny? Each human is different and thinks differently. Their life is affected by their environment, culture, geography, food, language, religion, etc. Humans dream. Their dreams are connected to past experiences.

Can AI dream?

Humans’ actions, choices, and decisions are connected in invisible ways none of us understand. Psychologists and Anthropologists study things about humans to better understand who we are and why we are this way. Nothing about humans is complete. We are incomplete beings. We were made this way because we needed each other to survive. Also, no matter how well we think we know someone, they still possess the ability to wow us. Does AI need another AI to survive? Togetherness is how we connect, love, live, laugh, and enjoy life. If AI plans to replace us, there is a lot to think about, as each of the more than eight billion humans on the planet is different. There is so much to choose from. AI might short-circuit in its attempts to impersonate humans because there is more to us than what can be seen through a microscope. Even though AI has improved humanity in many positive ways, thinking about all the humans I know, alive and dead, AI has much to learn. It doesn’t have to learn anything because humans are behind it and planning to create the perfect humanoid they want. If AI intends to create the perfect human being, that is a huge task if they intend to do it right. Humans already know, but they should notify AI there is no perfect human being. So, if that’s AI’s plan, it’s already failed. Plus, some humans will tell you in their quest to find pleasure that perfection will bore you after a while. Can we give AI feelings, a sense of humor, common sense, and all the qualities that make us the person we want to be or love? Human love and hate. They are kind and cruel. They laugh and cry. Does AI want balance? You can’t take the good only AI. You will short circuit. What if you can design and create the wife, husband, friend, parents, and children we want? More than six billion humans, each human lacks something another human has, bringing them together in unity or love. Can AI love? Really love. I am just rambling. I didn’t sleep well last night. It’s been a long day. Lol
