Abstract

The author, a writer who enjoys sexting and cybersex, sought a hands-free sex toy to enhance her experience without interrupting her ability to type. After a disappointing experience with a previous wearable vibrator, she was hesitant but intrigued by the positive reviews of the Eva II by Dame. The author found the Eva II effective during solo play, especially in the bath, and it also added to the pleasure during sex with her husband in certain positions, such as missionary and spooning. While some positions like cowgirl and doggy style were less successful, the overall experience was positive, leading to intense orgasms and the conclusion that the Eva II is a significant improvement over her previous wearable vibrator.

Is a Wearable Vibrator Worth It?

The joys of hands-free pleasure

I’ve been on a quest to find a sex toy I could use for cybersex and sexting.

I don’t do the whole webcam thing. When I have sex at a distance, it’s not visual at all. Unless I’m moaning into my phone, I prefer keeping it to text.

I’m a writer, so I love getting hot by exchanging words with someone I’m attracted to. I love the way playful teasing turns to anticipation, and anticipation turns to dirty, breathy, real-time exchanges.

What I don’t love, though, is how complicated it can be to type and pleasure myself at the same time.

I have to take my fingers off my clit to type, which is a major interruption to my pleasure.

And typing with wet fingers is less than ideal.

I can go one-handed and multitask. The problem with that is that I use my right hand for both. I can’t type well with my left hand, and getting myself off doesn’t feel natural unless I’m doing it with my right one.

That’s usually the compromise I settle for — slow typing is better than no typing.

That was part of the fun of moving from cybersex to phone sex. I still have to hold the phone while getting off, but at least I don’t have to hold it with my dominant hand.

I knew a wearable toy would be the perfect solution for this. If I had something that could make me come while leaving my hands free to type, it would solve all my sexting problems.

I wasn’t in a hurry to drop money on a wearable toy, though. I tried one before and it was a real let down.

Years ago, long before I got into cybersex, I ordered a butterfly vibrator. It was vibrant pink and strapped on with a harness.

It’s supposed to sit snuggly over the clit and vibrate it directly while you’re fucking or doing whatever else you want to do while it’s pleasuring you.

But it just didn’t work for me. Like, at all.

I’m pretty sure it’s because my clit is on the smaller side, and it’s tucked away a bit. It’s not hard to find, but it was always out of reach for the butterfly. No matter how much I adjusted the harness and tried to reposition the toy, it didn’t give me any stimulation at all. I could fuck while wearing it, but it wouldn’t do anything unless I took it off the harness and held it in place with my hand, which completely defeated the purpose of a wearable vibrator.

Since then, I’ve been hesitant to try another one. Every wearable toy I came across reminded me of my experience with the butterfly. I wanted to give them another try, but I just didn’t think it would be worth it.

Then, I kept seeing great reviews for a hands-free vibrator. And I got really curious when I saw that it’s not held in place with a harness.

Using a Wearable Vibrator for Solo Play

The vibrator is the Eva II by Dame. The big selling feature for me is that you hold it in place with your own labia. That was really promising. A harness might not be able to keep the toy where it should go, but putting it right up there in my vulva meant it should hit the right spot.

So, I got my hands on one and decided to see what it could do.

The packaging said it’s waterproof, and I could see why right away. It charges by resting in a charging pod, so it has no ports or wires. With no holes or openings at all, there’s no way for liquid to get in.

I decided to take it for a spin in the bath.

I slipped into the warm water and watched some porn on my phone because I’m a classy gal and that’s how I spend my me time.

I spread my lips apart and put the vibrator into place. It was a little tricky to get it right, and it didn’t help that the water made everything so slippery. But it didn’t take long to fit it properly.

It was definitely working. I could feel the vibrations against my clit without having to touch the toy at all.

It felt good, but I wanted more. I could’ve turned it up to a higher setting, but powerful vibrations tend to make me numb. So instead, I fingered myself and used the palm of my hand to apply a little pressure to the toy.

Moving my fingers in and out meant that I was only getting intermittent pressure, but the vibrations were constant.

I came and I came well. This is definitely a fun toy to use on its own and I knew it would be a great toy to enjoy some cybersex with. The fingers and palm were pleasurable but optional. If I wanted to, I could easily type with both hands while getting off, which is a luxury I hadn’t been able to experience before.

Finding the Right Positions

The vibrator was fun to use on its own, but the toy is marketed as a couples vibrator. So, I asked my husband to help me test it some more.

After the usual foreplay and fooling around, I grabbed the toy and put it in place to see if it could enhance missionary sex.

It worked well. Mr. Austin could fuck me steadily while the toy gave continuous vibrations against my clit. Instead of the usual G-spot orgasms, I got to enjoy blended ones.

It got even better when he moved up a bit into the coital alignment position. It meant he was a little more on top of me, and his body put extra pressure on the toy. That intensified the pleasure I got from it, which was highly satisfying.

I was in an experimental mood, so I tried a few more positions.

Cowgirl was a struggle. I couldn’t keep the toy in place without using at least one finger to hold it where it should be. That made riding a little tougher than usual. The only way I could enjoy it is by leaning forward so I was lying on top of Mr. Austin. That kept the toy in place, and I got to enjoy the way it buzzed my clit while he grabbed my ass and thrust into me.

We switched to doggy but it was a complete fail. Same problem — it just wouldn’t stay on unless I held it in place. We didn’t bother with that one and moved on to spooning.

Spooning was better. I found I still had a hard time getting it right unless I held it in place with my hand. Unlike cowgirl, though, I could at least use my hand without any awkwardness or discomfort.

To finish off, I went for some prone bone action. I lied down on my stomach with the vibrator in place. I tucked my hand between my thighs and pushed the vibrator against myself while Mr. Austin fucked me.

Sometimes, I have to switch to my favorite toy to finish myself off. Not this time, though. The vibrations, the pressure, and the penetration together gave me an incredible, show-stopping orgasm.

This was definitely no butterfly. I had finally found a wearable vibrator that worked the way it was meant to.

Go Hands-Free

The Eva-II was really fun to use, but it wasn’t perfect.

In some positions, it was a little difficult to keep in place and I had to use my hand to keep it from falling out. That might have to do with my labia — everyone’s is different, so it might just fit some women better than others.

But it was still really fun to use, even when I had to give it a little extra nudge to keep it in place. And because I like a little pressure, the nudge sometimes made it even better.

Using your vulva to keep it in place is what makes the Eva II unique. But that also means it’s got a bit of a learning curve (I mean, when’s the last time you used a toy that you held in place with your pussy lips?) Because of that, I recommend trying it alone first.

Once you get the hang of putting it where it belongs and figure out which positions it can work in and which are trickier, it’s a really fun toy to play with. It’s probably the best option out there if you’re looking for a hands-free, wearable vibrator, whether you want to use it for sex at a distance or while fucking up close.
