Invitation to Benefit from Illumination’s YouTube Channel and Videos Publication

An Introduction to a community project to create visibility for writer profiles and stories published on Medium

In this post, I share a video I created today. The purpose of the video is to invite writers, editors, and readers of Illumination Integrated Publications on Medium to join our YouTube project and amplify their videos using our new publication, Illumination Videos, and Podcasts.

Dear Writers and Readers,

My name is Aiden. In this short video, I would like to briefly introduce you to a volunteer project I am passionate about. This project is about using Illumination’s YouTube channel to promote profiles, stories, and services for our writers through various content development and marketing strategies.

Over a year ago, I joined Medium and met many writers and editors on this platform. The collaboration is fantastic. As a writer, I joined Illumination Integrated Publications. I volunteered to support the YouTube channel as a coordinator. I introduced several top writers on YouTube.

I also serve as a volunteer editor for Illumination, reviewing and publishing several stories daily. In addition, I established two publications, one for gamers and the other for YouTubers and podcasters. They both grow and bring new audiences.

My main goal is to integrate our YouTube presence with the power of our publications to create a synergistic outcome.

As someone with a background in media studies, I am passionate about using YouTube to promote creative content and share knowledge with a new audience.

I believe writers, bloggers, and authors can leverage this platform to reach a broader audience and gain visibility for their work.

With over 2 billion monthly active users, YouTube is a great opportunity for writers to showcase their skills and connect with like-minded people.

Using Illumination’s channel, we can create an active and engaging platform for our writers, editors, and readers to share their work, engage meaningfully, get feedback, and grow their audience.

I have seen fantastic content from various writers on our channel. They posted profile introductions, sample stories, and lovely poems.

I want to encourage all contributors to showcase their work and introduce themselves to our community. The more engaging and high-quality content we post, the more viewers we can attract.

As the YouTube coordinator, I am here to help you create great videos and post them on our channel.

I am also happy to assist if you need advice on scripting, short filming, video editing, or promoting your videos. You may contact me on Illumination’s Slack. I will gladly answer your questions and help you get started with YouTube.

My plan is to make our channel more active and use our Videos and Podcasts publication to amplify our content.

Some quick ideas are to introduce the profiles of writers, summarize outstanding stories, introduce Youtube channels, podcasts, books, or services of our writers, feature the top 10 stories from our curated collections regularly, and give writing and productivity tips to new writers.

As a coordinator of this project, I can generate content covering these activities in my limited time.

However, I also encourage you, as a writer, to create your own videos or podcasts by introducing yourself, your stories, and your services. I know it might be challenging in the beginning but you can gradually improve your skills.

I can give you manager access to our community channel so that you can upload your videos and podcasts yourself. Then, you can create a short form of your content and post it to our publications in a story format. In addition, I can feature your content in our monthly newsletters and curated collections.

In short, we will integrate our YouTube channel with our publications to create more meaningful and engaging content. This might attract new audiences who can enjoy watching videos and reading stories.

As part of this project, I offer free video services to our writers, editors, and readers. So, please feel free to share your ideas. If you contact me, I will add you to our project list. To create an engaging video, we will work together to develop your bio and choose your best stories to showcase.

I am committed to creating high-quality videos highlighting your unique voice and style. You can send me your background info, relevant photos, and a brief introduction to your top three stories via Slack. This basic information can be useful for our readers and watchers to explore you.
