Hi, I am Keno, before joining Medium, I had a blog at www.tinylifemoments.com, where I curated short true stories of 120 words or less. I realised I could extend the idea here, and collect real life stories with the aim of sharing life lessons. Afterall, experience is the best teacher.* So I created the Tiny Life Moments Publication in May 2020 and launched in June.

Our Mission

Our mission is to build a library of life lessons from real life experiences. We invite writers to share a life experience, write a reflection and extract the lessons learnt. It is simple yet highly effective. Here is a life lesson from one of our writers Desiree Driesenaar

What we cover

Our publication covers all areas of life, from dating and relationships, to parenting to illness and death, career, mental health, education, pets and more. No part of life is exempt, and we actively seek writers that can broaden our horizons and explore various aspects of life.

Our target audience

We want you to find yourself in our publication. We all have tiny life moments. We go through an experience and we realise we have learnt something simple yet profound. Then someone else reads this and it hits a nerve, it resonates. And of course it does, we are altogether human.

Write for us

We accept all writers, because everyone has a lesson to share. Tiny Life Moments encourages mindful journalling. The key is in the reflection. We all have moments, but we let them pass. It is only when we reflect and journal that our moments yield that magic. Can you do this? Then we invite you to write for us.

Tiny Life Moments follows a fixed structure. This keeps our style consistent and helps our readers to find what they want quickly. This is also our differentiating point in the sea of Medium publications. Our writers recount the experience in 120 words or less. They write a reflection, then outline the lessons using bullet points. Our submission guidelines explain the process clearly.

Here is an example where Rochelle Miller learns something from taking a risk.

Join a growing community

We are 7 editors, 49 writers, 140 readers and growing. There is room for every experience, readers and writers alike. We aim to publish articles within 24 hours of submission and we aim to share each article of Twitter and Facebook. We’ve got a number of curated articles and pleased to have many top writers writing for us, including several writers on Illumination. We hope you join us.
