Introduction To Stacy Belinsky

Sometimes People Call Me “B”

Thank you, for adding me as a writer and as part of the Illumination community. The concept of community is important to me. Stating that a group is a community that does not make it so. I am glad for the obvious development and look forward to meeting many and gaining friends and perspectives.

My name is Stacy, spelt S-T-A-C-Y. I am usually one of many with this name. Since I was a kid, I have connected based on that. A common discussion is the “correct” spelling.

The first time I worked with a second Stacey, to differentiate us, I became “B.” This is true now, too, except we agree on the spelling.

What would be interesting to include in an introduction? As Joe Luca mentions in his introduction, this feels a bit awkward. It’s a muscle I am happy to learn to develop, especially as a fan of personal growth, so here I go.

Reading, and to some extent, writing, began early in my life. I LOVED going to bookstores and libraries.

Library is plural because growing up in suburban Detroit (Michigan) meant access to libraries in other suburbs besides my city.

I continue to utilize the local library nearest me in the southwest area of Michigan, and sometimes a neighboring city.

While I tend to be shy, especially in new surroundings, when I began to work towards Finding My Voice, I noticed that people DO want to listen.

Once I knew people might listen, I increased the intensity and the volume of sharing my reflections and personal growth efforts. In fact, this is how I accidentally became a vegan eater.

Even with ALL of the book choices, finding people and examples is not always easy or fast. I want others to know that Reaching the Next Level in life is possible.

My daily life includes:

  • bicycling often, primarily for transportation.
  • being part of training called Sva Sadhana that involves Yoga and Ayurveda, a life-changing experience.
  • working part-time and remotely for a friend who is co-owner of a small group of family businesses.
  • creative endeavors, with loom-knitting and drawing as the most recent additions. I participate as a member of the local maker space for inspiration and machine use or training.
  • (slow) entrepreneurial efforts. In fact, I find it interesting that Illumination includes Serendipity in the description, and the business name I use is Serendipity Spot, LLC.
  • making new friends, volunteering, spreading joy.

What else do you want to know?

I look forward to meeting you!

(Thanks, Timothy Key, for being one of the firsts!)

Sincerely,

Stacy
