Forty-five was the leader, but how could that be?
Random Word Drabble Challenge Day 45 Word Is Third.

Two-thirds didn’t like him but liked the alternative less.
He could say anything, do anything — his behavior was reprehensible.
The idea that women could control their reproductive rights or that same-sex couples could live together happily was unacceptable. The left attacking their sacred holiday and taking their arms was unacceptable.
The other side was giving their gardening chores to aliens.
The orange ruler was the only acceptable alternative, regardless of what it might do to the economy or if their civil liberties would be eliminated.
It’s a good thing this is fiction — could they let it happen again?
