Interesting Thoughts from Other Writers That Made Me Go Hmmm 🤔 or LOL 😂

My Weekly WTA: What The Ah-ha Moments — Issue2

Image created by Author using Bing Image Creator Powered by Dall-E 3

I wanted to do shoutouts to authors. I was going to do it in a newsletter, but everyone is doing one of those, it seems. I recently deleted most of the ones I subscribed to and didn’t even read those I thought were stellar.

I decided that starting my own was not the best investment of my time. However, I still wanted to put together a piece highlighting things I learned or authors that made me laugh hysterically -in a good way.

Remember that song by Greenday, “Wake Me Up When September Ends?”

With all the craziness going on with Medium earnings, I kind of felt that way about October, and here we are in November.

So long October… 👋

This issue, I will start with a publication that makes us go 🤔

Not only is this an educational piece by Susie Kearley about the legal ramifications of using AI-generated images, but it’s probably the closest I will come to getting boosted.

My short-form piece inspired Susie, where I wrote about my experience using Bing with Dall-E 3. She gave me a nice little shoutout in her post that got boosted, which I appreciated.

Congrats on the boost Susie and thanks for this informative article! If you use your own images, this is a must read.

Next up, this one will have you thinking, do I need to get myself some of these 🤔

This one by Robin Wilding 💎resonated because I am constantly freezing, especially in the winter. It’s been something I’ve dealt with since I was a kid.

The cold months have never been anything I look forward to. But, if I get myself some of these fabulous arm warmers, that might change.

My third pick will also leave you wondering 🤔

I have seen many of those documentaries on major crime bosses like Lucky Luciano and Al Cappone. And, of course, we all wonder what happened to Jimmy Hoffa especially if you live in Michigan like I do.

Even though these individuals are not fictional characters, somehow, they don’t seem quite real. However, in an article by David Conte, he tells the story of his grandfather, who was a real-life mobster.

We forget these men have families with children and grandchildren who do normal everyday things until someone reminds us.

This next one, too, will have you pondering 🤔

I love data with ways to track and manage information. I read this post by 🌬️Mitch where he explains his system to coordinate the notifications and engagement with other writers.

I tried to create a similar framework a while back, but I just can’t seem to find one that works for me. However, I thought I would share this with those who may be searching for a way to keep it all organized.

Now, this final pick by Cappelli, MFA, JD, PhD will not only have you rolling in hysterics 🤣 but your 😹 too

I did learn some things reading this that I did not know, but overall, I about fell off my chair laughing. I think the title says it all, so give it a go to to see what you think.

I’m not sure it was meant to be so funny, but I found it HILARIOUS.

Let me know if you do, too?

Happy Weekend Reading 🤔 🤣
