In The Shadows of Bougainvillea, My Heart Longs for You
September Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Shadows”
There is no place like home.
Bougainvillea must be one of my favorite flowers as I’ve written about it more than a few times now. Love it’s deep, showy colors and the fact that, in tropical climates, it stays in bloom throughout most of the year.
A true gift from God, as just when a person might be feeling low and lowly, a peek of bright and bold will lift the spirits and remind us that life is full of beauty and love, just as it is filled with evil and hate.
And while I love bougainvillea whenever and wherever I might find it, and no matter where I roam on this beautiful place called Earth, I particularly love Florida bougainvillea.
What I’m really trying to say, I suppose, is that I’m missing home a great deal these days. While I love traveling and living in different states and countries, and experiencing a wide variety of cultures and scenery, there really is no place like home.
