I’m Not A Fan Of April Fools Pranks
But I do love a good laugh (includes monthly prompt)

As I’m sure at least some of you (Jess this is your cue!) will agree, British comedy is in a league of it’s own.
Does that mean I never enjoy humour from anyone or anywhere else, of course not!
However, whilst frequently being entertained by a comedy series or stand-up show from elsewhere in the world, it’s always the Brits that have my heart. Maybe we just share a particular (peculiar?) sense of humour. That’s got to be at least part of the appeal.
I don’t enjoy cruel pranks or biting satire too much. I don’t like humour which comes at the expense of someone else, and sarcasm leaves me cold. So you can imagine, I’m not really too great a fan of ‘April Fools’ Day’.
That said, 2023 has been properly miserable so far, for many of us. So, I do want to try and bring some joy and humour into the advent of another new month (where the hell did March disappear to?!).

The Prompt
I’ll keep this one really simple. Who makes you laugh? Who is your favourite comedian or comedy actor?
Alternately, just write about something which makes you happy, makes you smile, brings a little sunshine into your life. Help me cheer up our corner of Medium this month.
Anyone can submit a response to this prompt. If you’re not already on our writers list and would like to be, simply mention that in the comments section and it shall be done.
To hopefully get the ball rolling:
