Three reasons to submit your stories to this new publication

Background

As mentioned in previous posts, Medium restricted the number of editors per publication to 30. Thirty editors cannot achieve the workload of ILLUMINATION and ILLUMINATION-Curated.

To address this constraint, I recently created a new publication called ILLUMINATION’S MIRROR.

Today, I received an email from Medium confirming that ILLUMINATION’ S MIRROR has already gained 100 followers.

It looks like a small step, but it is great progress. Many new followers will discover it soon. I will start sharing it with our subscribers soon. This small-step approach is what we applied to ILLUMINATION 10 months ago. It now has 60,000+ followers.

Until Medium allows us to add more editors to publications, we need to use a load-balancing mechanism as a workaround.

Why ILLUMINATION’S MIRROR?

There are three primary reasons to submit your stories to ILLUMINATION’S MIRROR

  1. Reduce the workload for ILLUMINATION and ILLUMINATION-Curated.
  2. Speed up publishing your stories.
  3. Expose your content to new readers.

A workaround in this interim period

We propose each writer submit only one story to ILLUMINATION and ILLUMINATION-Curated per day until further notice.

We don’t limit the number of stories for ILLUMINATION’S MIRROR. You can submit as many stories as you want to this new publication.

You can also submit as many technology-related stories as you want to Technology Hits.

We cross-pollinate among publications using short-form stories.

Plans for ILLUMINATION’S MIRRORS

We have two immediate actions in our plan.

1 — To introduce ILLUMINATION’S MIRROR to a broader audience.

2 — To feature stories in this new publication and distribute them to our subscribers.
