I love the community we are building here at Flint & Steel and want to feature writers on a regular basis to help spread the word about you and for us to all get to know each other better as a way to connect and expand.

Each week I’ll feature a Flint & Steel writer. After you fill out the Google form, I’ll email you a list of questions (questions may vary over time). You will submit the answers to the questions as you would a regular publication submission.

I will publish one interview per week (in the order they are received). The article will be pinned to the top of the Flint & Steel main page and featured in our weekly newsletter. I will share the article link on all my social media channels as well (Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Pinterest).

I’m excited to get to know you all more and help promote your work!

Featured Writer Guidelines

  1. You must be following Flint & Steel.
  2. You must be a Flint & Steel Writer. If you’re not a writer, please read over the submission guidelines and leave a comment that you would like to be a writer.
  3. You must have already submitted at least one article to F&S before your featured writer interview will be published.
  4. Fill out this Google form to be emailed the interview questions.

Article Format

  1. Please submit article as a draft (not already published) with a title of your choice and the subtitle “Featured Writer at Flint & Steel.”
  2. Include the interview questions in bold before your answer.
  3. You may include personal photos (proper credit) and links to where we can find you outside Medium.
  4. Add the tags “Flint and Steel” and “featured writer.” Because of the recent publication design setting changes, all the featured writer articles will will be listed under “Featured Writers” found on the main page of Flint & Steel (updated March 2022).
  5. Add a link to this page.
