I Tried Skillshare for 30 Days
Honest Review and Overall Thoughts
I’m a course junkie. I’m addicted to learning and Skillshare is one of my drugs of choice.
Growing up, school was just ok for me. It came to me fairly easily and it wasn’t until I started coursework to pursue my second masters degree that I realized I was addicted to learning.
I had been hearing about Skillshare for a while from creators so, I deicded to give it a go.
At the time, it was only about $10/month so, I thought, what the heck, I’ll invest the cost of my Starbucks coffee/snack order and try it.
Here’s how it went…
Skillshare for Online Learning
It’s an online marketplace of courses. Once you subscribe, you get unlimited access.
This is great for taking courses for personal enrichment, to learn a new skill, or improve your skills for work or career.
They have a bunch of different course offerings (thousands of classes) from DSLR photography to video editing, productivity, creative writing, animation, and more.
Quick TLDR | Is Skillshare worth it?
For the quality and number of classes available, compared to competitors, I’d say Skillshare is absolutely worth it. For an affordable price, you get access to the entire platform to explore your many passions and interests to improve your skill set and learn new things. - Expert-level led courses may not be on the same level as competitors like Masterclass
Skillshare Pricing
Month-to-month and annual plans are available. The best value is with the annual plan.
- $13.75/month paid annually (or $165 billed) or,
- $29.00/month
You can see you pay more than double if you do the month-to-month plan. It makes the annual plan the better choice, by far, in my opinion.
It’s a 3-figure upfront investment but, I can tell you how many individual 3-figure online courses I’ve invested in to satisfy my craving for online learning, probably dozens.
Pay $165 for access to thousands of courses vs pay up to $165+ for a single online courses outside of Skillshare.
The natural choice is Skillshare.
What’s included in the Skillshare subscription?
You get unlimited access to Skillshare classes to watch when/where you want. You also get access to additional features like offline viewing, community, and more.
What kind of classes are available?
There’s no getting bored on a platform like Skillshare. 25,000+ online courses are being taught.

The classes are independently taught by experts in the industry. They can vary based on class layout, structure, length, etc.
One class can be 30 minutes long, the next could be 5+ hours long.

Bottom Line
Skillshare is awesome! Seriously, I’ve been a big fan of the platform forever. While I’m not a paying member today, I plan on reactivating my subscription in the very near future.
It’s totally worth it to have access to all this great info right at your fingertips.
