I Don’t Want to be a Money Grubber
Poetry prompt: Greed

Sure, I want to be comfortable but not at the expense of others. I’d rather stay in my humble beginnings, without a yacht in the harbor.
I wouldn’t want to be the avaricious kind, who avoids paying taxes by finding loopholes and bribing politicians for his own personal gain.
I’d rather have a simple life and live cheaply with a clear conscience than deprive the poor of food and shelter.
I’d rather be generous than a money-grubber. I’d rather have an ordinary job than be the head of a bank merger.
I’d rather be magnanimous and unselfish than egotistical and self-serving. I’d rather be charitable and altruistic than a greedy multinational.

If there’s anything I don’t like, it's greedy people. All they think about is how to make more money regardless of who it helps or hurts. The end also justifies the means. Perhaps Greed is the deadliest of the Seven Deady Sins.
