more, bigger, better / soft, steady, routine

a poem

Photo by Paico Oficial on Unsplash

wanting more producing more constantly yearning for that linear or even exponential growth

never stopping to honour that the pieces of your life that bring you the most joy are surprisingly not the need to consistently top extremes of joy

but rather a continuous appreciation of the small, good things: colour-coded bookshelves, the perfect cup of coffee, seeing your plants grow and thrive through your daily nurturing efforts.

I no longer want more, bigger, better; I now want soft, steady and routine.

Tagging Haider Jamal | Fathiyah Zb | Kyomi O'Connor | Tej | Noorain Hassan, BMS | Paola Perez | Adam Deitsch | Carolyn Riker if you’re up to it and anyone else interested in today’s prompt: greed.

How to join: include the original post of the person who tagged you for reference and tag 5–10 other people (or simply ‘tag all’) who might be interested in this prompt! (Ps, there’s no deadline!)
