PROMPT- MAJESTIC MOUNTAINS
I am In love With The Peace and Calm Of The Mountains
Enjoy the beauty and peace of the mountains

This trip to the mountains was special.
“The mountains are calling, and I must go.” John Muir
I had to go I could not stop.
I went to celebrate 50 years of friendship with a group of friends. Since the mountains called us we decided to go to the apple valley of Himachal in India and then go around enjoying ourselves.
I make several trips to the mountains and I love the peace and quiet. I do enjoy some good company with my friends when I travel.
I don’t have the words to capture how much we admired the mountains when we reached our destination. it had the most amazing views. We had some of the most breathtaking moments
Every day we went out for walks together. We walked rather than go by car because we could enjoy the beautiful scenery and feel the fresh air.
The mountains echo back at you. My friend loudly called out my name
P R E E T I
The mountains echoed back! PREETI.
We continued the game by calling each other’s names playfully. We saw pieces of rocks on the mountains etched with lovers’ names. They would stay there and become history.
In some places, the mountains were rugged, and in some places, they were well-maintained parks where we could sit and watch the mountains.
Our comfort point! Pick up tea or coffee cups and enjoy slowly drinking them and enjoying the mountains chatting with each other.
Mountains are inspirational. They challenge you to climb and go ahead in life.
They give you both pleasure and challenge Do hiking! Do not stop. Go for mountain sports, skiing and skating
- Mountains are powerful. They make us feel small and teach us humility.
- They inspire us to challenge ourselves to go up in life and not be afraid of small hiccups in our journey.
- They inspire us with their beauty and quiet happiness
- They give us concentration. This is why so many hermits find refuge in mountains and pray to learn more about spirituality.
Nature is marvelous “Earth and sky, woods and fields, lakes and rivers, the mountain and the sea, are excellent schoolmasters, and teach some of us more than we can ever learn from books.” — John Lubbock
Mountains give us beauty and peace. They teach us humility, they challenge us to go high in life and they give us focus and help us to attain spirituality. They are an inspiration to all. Go and take a break in the mountains and see the change. It brings good health, freshness, and well-being to our lives.
Our prompt for this week is Majestic Mountains

Highlights of last week
Some of the beautiful posts of this week that I would like to highlight and also hope that you read these amazing posts are the following
The theme of the week was historical gardens
Historical Garden
- Joyce has written about a beautiful Japanese garden that she visited in Portland. You would love her description of the garden and amazing pictures. She brought memories of the Japanese garden that I visited this summer in Berkeley.
2. William wrote about Benson’s Wild Animal Farm the park and the walking trail around it. He wrote about his experience and how the animals were treated there. In particular, the gorilla story touched me a lot
Fatima visited the botanical garden in Toronto. The garden’s mission in her is “to connect people with plants and inspire us to harmony with nature.” It is an amazing place. I got lost in her beautiful post with amazing photos. You too will enjoy it.
Nature Posts
2. This is a very interesting story about Debika’s experience with monkeys. She saw them hanging on a tree and one monkey slapped a baby and then comforted her with a hug. Read on there is no replacement for nature😅
3. Do you want to learn how to feed honey bees and not get stung? Pam has a great recipe and experience. She has written a fantastic story.
4. Ravneet Kaur
Ravneet wrote about Kovalam beach in Kerala. It is at the edge of the Arabian sea and it means ‘grove of Coconut trees. As she says there is a lot of peace, calm and natural beauty over there and I agree because I felt the same when I visited it.
Fatima wrote a great description of the Gomti river where she had spent her childhood. She believes that water teaches us that success is always in giving, not taking and greatness, it creates change and does not demand change. She took me along with her. Water is required for sustenance and we cannot live with it.
Our little Debu loves nature a lot. She loves the foothills of Darjeeling and gets peace and calm and happiness there. It is a very sweet story as to how she destresses herself.

Beauty belongs to the natural happening phenomenon

This is a beautiful post when Tara considers it a spiritual moment. The tree performed its duty. “My life is to be helpful to others and give what I have. I perform my duty.” The woodcutter threw away the cutter for the happiness of the people to enjoy the shade and love of the tree.
Our young friend is troubled by her family not letting her be independent. She has a host of issues. She finds amazing healing powers in nature.
Thank you Victoria, I love rainbows too. It uplifts my spirits too and I also find them the gift of God. In Victoria’s words, a rainbow can occur in unexpected places. She has seen one in a desert too.
Mulan has the most beautiful pictures representing the sky in shades of blue and pink. I am chanted with the pictures and the beauty of nature. She rightly says beauty is everywhere we just have to pay attention to it.
George thank you for writing about Japanese forest bathing also called shinrin-yoku. It is an excellent way to destress and have overall good health.
