I. The Principles of The Kingdom of God

Many people view prayer as a means of petitioning God for blessings, breakthroughs, and miracles, but that’s not the purpose of prayer.

A majority of the breakthroughs people need are needed because of ignorance of the principles of the Kingdom of God.

Many of the miracles we see today are a result of God correcting that ignorance and we receive blessings out of God’s mercy and not just because we asked.

“If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you wish and it will be done for you.”

Those were Jesus’s words, but you and I know it’s not that simple to just ask and receive what you asked for.

According to the Bible, you should pray for thy kingdom to come. It also says to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all the other things will be added to you.

If thy kingdom comes, then you will not need to ask for breakthroughs or miracles since everything you wish for will be added. When the Kingdom of God comes, you will not need to ask for much because there will be much of it already.

This kingdom of God is not a place outside of us, but a matter of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. It is the place within us where God lives.

For many of us, our prayers are not systematic, nor are they methodical. They are haphazard and leave no guarantees. Mastery of anything is gained through consistency.

When you want mastery and success, you need to invest time, energy, and resources into your prayers. You need to pray all kinds of prayers without ceasing so you have a prayer bank stored up for yourself.

And also your prayers must be specific. Don’t be the one who prays to the universe and therefore prays to nothing at all.

II. Miracles, Signs, and Wonders

A relationship between two people that is based solely on asking for stuff is not natural. God does not want us to live in a realm of constantly begging him for stuff. That’s a turn-off. You don’t allow a relationship to flourish when all you do is ask for stuff.

Neither is it God’s intention for us to live in the realm of miracles, signs, and wonders.

To unbelievers, God uses miracles and wonders to make it easier for them to believe, but to those who work for the Kingdom of God, miracles help us reach maturity and strengthen our faith in God, and signs lead us where we’re meant to go.

The excitement of miracles, signs, and wonders brings a fresh outpouring of the Spirit of God.

III. The Mystery of Prayer

Prayer is one of the mysteries that is not bound by time. You can pray today for your tomorrow and it will stand. You can pray today and send your prayers into next week to double-check that it is safe for you to go into it.

Prayer is powerful, as it can verify for you that the road is clear before you arrive. If your prayers go to find demons on the road you’re trying to take, then you will be alerted of the dangers of the path so you can redirect your steps.

It is risky to step into a realm that prayer did not usher you into. It’s dangerous because the whole world lies in the power of wickedness.

Regardless of whether you believe in God, it’s important that you pray. Growth and transformation are only possible for a believer if you pray.

Your prayers will be much more powerful when you’re not constantly begging God for material things or to bring breakthroughs and miracles into your life. Prayer is powerful when the sole purpose is for spiritual growth and transformation.

When you decree and declare with a powerful intention, it doesn’t matter what the astrology forecast said or what the diviners foresaw in their readings. It doesn’t even matter the curses that were sent your way or the demons lurking in the shadows of the path of your destiny. Your words will accomplish the purposes for which they were sent because you said your prayers with the right intentions from a pure heart.

Because of the power of your prayer and when spoken with authority, God allows you to create your own miracles, wonders, and signs. You can do that simply because the Kingdom of God has come into your life and you’ve become co-heir with Christ and can, therefore, create your own miracles that blow the minds of unbelievers.

When the Kingdom of God is present, you lack no good thing, and what you don’t have, you receive in abundance as you grow and transform, seeking God first.

If you can truly understand the point of prayer and these Kingdom principles, your prayers will be largely that of fellowship, growth, and transformation, and not just of petition and supplication.

Your understanding of the ways of God will lead to triumph after triumph, victory after victory, and you will see the results that you hoped for.

Pray without ceasing and even when you don’t see the results of your prayers, it’s stored in your prayer bank and will rise to work when you need them the most.

But when your prayers are not answered in time, don’t be discouraged, for you don’t know the battles angels are fighting in the heavenly realms to bring your blessings to you. Don’t lose hope when it takes too long. God works on your behalf, even when you don’t see it.

If you truly understand the point of prayer and these Kingdom principles, your prayers will be largely that of fellowship, growth, and transformation, and not just of petition and supplication.
