I never believed it unless I have received my first earnings. And, Vocal Just released the first payment for me.

This is the complete review about making money writing on Vocal. I have already made over $37, I started writing on Vocal just two months ago and I am not very consistent. I think I should invest more money & time into writing on Vocal. One good thing about writing on Vocal is that you get paid for every single damn view. It doesn't matter the reader is from a third-world country, coming from social media or search engine or anything, just the reader should be a real human being and you are good to make money writing on Vocal.

If you don’t know a lot about Vocal and want to go into in-depth analysis, I have written a guide about it here: What is Vocal. Media?

How to start making money on Vocal?

Writing and starting making money on Vocal is very simple. All you need to do is to follow this simple step-by-step process and you are ready to go to make money.

  1. Go to Vocal Media.
  2. Make an account by clicking on the Sign-up option.
  3. Complete your profile by uploading your own profile picture and description.
  4. Now, click on the “Create story” option and write a story. You have to submit a story to a Vocal-owned publication.
  5. Your story will be published in under 12-hours if it meets the story eligibility guidelines which we have described in the later section.
  6. Boom, when you get more views you will be paid accordingly.

Story eligibility guidelines to be published on Vocal:

  1. Your story shouldn’t be based on hate or targeting any right group.
  2. The minimum word count should be greater than 600-words.
  3. Quality really doesn’t matter unless and until you miss-spelled or there are some visible grammatical errors. Anyone could easily get published on Vocal.
  4. In order to be eligible for submitting a story to Vocal moderation, you should add a title, sub-title, and a featured image.

That’s set.

I am not a *great* writer but more than 95% of my stories are accepted into the Vocal system while the rest 5% were later published and they were rejected initially because of the adding link of another story or website that was wrong or miss the 600-words mark.

What is Vocal+?

Before understanding Vocal and making money on Vocal Media, you need to understand; ‘what is Vocal+?’, Vocal+ is a subscription for writers only and if you want to make more money you need to go for Vocal+ because if you aren’t Vocal+, you would make $3.80 per 1,000 reads while as a Vocal+ member you will receive $6 per 1,000 reads.

Ways to make money writing on Vocal:

There are four ways through which you (all at the same time) monetize your articles on Vocal;

  • Through getting more views: Now you already know that Vocal pay you for every damn view. It doesn’t matter the reads you are getting from social media, your own blog, or YouTube channel, or through search engines. All you need to do is to get real human views.
  • Through tipping: Another way through which you could directly receive Tip through Stripe and the payment will directly transfer to your bank account attached with Stripe. If you are just an ordinary Vocal creator then Vocal will charge a 6% service charge while if you are a Vocal+ member then they will charge 2% services charges.
  • Getting into exclusive Vocal challenges: Now this is very interesting. Vocal Challenges is a way to make a huge amount of money by getting into 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place with a total value of the challenge is over $1,000. Remember that these challenges are only for Vocal+ members.

  • Through adding your blog links, YouTube channel, and Amazon affiliate links: You can also include your YouTube channel videos, Amazon affiliate links, and your blog post links to generate more traffic to your blog. This is an indirect way of making money through writing on Vocal.

How much money does Vocal pay per view?

So, as a beginner writer, you should know about two things while being a creator on Vocal:

  • A Vocal creator with no Vocal+ subscription can make $3.8 per 1,000 views, 6% service charges and you can’t get into Vocal challenges.
  • A Vocal+ member which costs $9.99 per month could enable you to make $6 per 1,000 views, 2% services charges on Tips and you can get into exclusive Vocal challenges.

You can Join Vocal+ through this link, and make $6 per 1,000 reads.

Here is why I think you should opt-in for Vocal+ membership. Let say you have 5k views a day on your all Vocal stories. This means that you have 150K views a month. If you are a Vocal+ member then you will make over $900 while as a normal non-vocal+ member, you will make $570. I think these stats is enough for you to decide.

Can you make money on vocal media?

Yes. Anyone can make money on Vocal Media. You need to publish more content as content is the cornerstone here. The more content you publish the more money you will make. I have published over 60 articles on Vocal Media in the past month and hopefully in the coming few months earnings will quadruple. I have already started investing in creating more content for Vocal Media.

Some tips to get more viewers

Okay, I personally use these tips to get more viewers. One problem with Vocal Media is that it is not very searching to optimize but here are some tips that could help you get more views. I am just searching three and for a complete understanding of the SEO

  1. Write long-form content: Long-form content like an article of over 2,000 words could help to get ranked easily compared to an article of just 700 words. If you write an article of more than 1600 words, you are in the top 14% of the blogger on the Internet. I have written an in-detail guide about how to write long-form content?
  2. Write more frequently: The more content you write, the more opportunities to get discovered on the Internet. Remember the 80/20 rule. You have to make more than 20% of those articles that will generate 80% of your revenue.
  3. Link back to your older Vocal stories: Add a link to already published articles on Vocal Media and include them in your draft. This is like making an interconnected web. Adding you're already publishing blog post links on Vocal is also helpful for SEO.

If you ask me about my opinion of Vocal, my answer would be it is one of the great platforms. Think about a platform that pays you for every single view irrespective of what platform you are getting readers and what are their demography.

Plain and simple, just human readers and you could make bank writing on Vocal Media.
