How to Create Viral Content Online and Earn $$$
“Ideas are cheap. It’s the execution that is all important.” — George R.R. Martin

Do you want to start creating content? But not sure what to do and where to start? Don’t worry, I have got you covered.
“Find a subject you care about and which you in your heart feel others should care about. It is this genuine caring, not your games with language, which will be the most compelling and seductive element in your style.” — Stephen King
Why your online personal brand matters
Throughout your writing journey, you need to have a mind shift of seeing your profile as your online reputation instead of your online resume.
As it pertains to content creation, personal branding means, the process of identifying, building, and amplifying your online and offline reputation.
To make things simple and easier for you to understand there is a five Cs rule.
These five Cs are in this specific order since they build upon each other, thus creating what I like to call a personal brand compound effect. Let’s take a closer look at each of these.
Care:
The first C is for care. Your main goal here in this stage is to find, commit, and align your purpose with your passion.
Let’s take me as an example. After much soul-searching, pondering, and trying what I wanted to do from a professional point of view, I was able to discover that my passion lied in three areas: Health, Productivity, and Self-Improvement.
As I aligned these three passions of mine with my purpose of coaching and training others, it was a perfect combination. With that said, be thinking about your two to three professional topics or themes that you can build your personal brand upon.
Curate:
Once you’ve aligned your passion with your purpose, the second C comes into place, which stands for curate. In this context, curation is the process of finding, reading, and sharing relevant content with your network and connections.
Your content curation efforts can be maximized only if you try to experiment with different content types and themes.
Let me expand on this point. Here are two lists of content types and themes that I’ve outlined that you should test and see if they work for you.

Never assume and make the mistake of eliminating certain content themes before even trying them out.
Share content with those themes and type for one or two weeks and then measure how much engagement you got, then decide.
Create
The third C is for create. In the context of creation from a personal branding point of view, it’s the process of creating and sharing relevant content with your network and connections.
Once again, the best way to get started is by not overthinking it, but just doing it. In the beginning, you might be worried about what other people in your network might think if you share content that they might not like, but stick to your plan.
If your drive of building your personal brand is greater than what other people might think of you, then you’re gonna find a way of making it happen.
Once you’re ready to jump in and begin sharing and writing content, you’ll want to leverage Medium publishing platform and status updates.
Connect
The fourth C stands for connect. One of your personal branding goals should be to connect with as many people as you can that are relevant in your industry and niche.
Consistent
The last C stands for consistent. One of my favorite quotes goes as follows. “Stick to your task until it sticks to you. “Beginners are many, but finishers are few.” As I like to say, creating content isn’t a sprint, it’s a marathon.
Lastly,
I have been creating content last one year. It can seem overwhelming at first but a bit of preparation and putting a tiny system in place can help you kickstart your journey.
The basic rules to create content on any platform is:
1- Curate — share, comment, and follow other people. 2- Create — create content regularly. 3- Connect — connect with people, follow them, and start a conversation.
A couple of things that you can do on Medium:
1. One weekly article 2. 500–1000 words per article 3. Add 5 popular hashtags related to your post
You can modify your approach as you explore. Good luck!
Be Bold
Be Courageous
Be Your Best
