How To Be Crazy Successful Writing In Medium (Part 3A — Time, Life Hijacks).
Because there is ALWAYS a Part 3A.

Whoever taught me to declare my intents openly ought to be shot. Damn, I am so embarrassed because I declared to write Part 4 yesterday, today. Then Life hijacks.
I have the urge to write about Time, so a Trojan Horse has to be wedged between Part 3 and 4. Did I fail to stick to the plan? Nope. I like to think there is always a Part 3A.
Before I forget, these are the 1st 3 parts of this series.
Yup, shoot me. I was supposed to write about Consistency of Writing today.
Whoever invented the word irony ought to be inducted into the Hall of Fame for social psychology. I avoided doing exactly what I intended to. So much for plans.
We can only plan this much. We can plan to dislodge our biological waste once a day. Can we plan for the exact time to conduct Operation Let Go? Impress me. Oh no, please keep it to yourself.
I am never impressed by plans because I appreciate the hijacks Life presents me. It happened this morning. I was in and out of client calls since early morning. Every call extended beyond my control, and before I knew it, my writing time got squeezed into nothing.
Then I reviewed what I intended to write. Consistency to Write. Hmm. Do I have the juice to write about it today?
No, I didn’t even after 2 cups of coffee.
Maybe it is not a good plan to stick to the plan. Especially when that time involves the expenditure of time that I do not have. Time and money are really fascinating.
When we do not have enough money, we can borrow. We can never borrow time. Tell me, which one is more precious?
I went kicking pebbles around my work desk. Thinking, wondering, pondering. How to salvage my reputation based on the previously open declaration of the selected topic?
My previous incarnation popped into my mind. It says the following: -
“Part 3A.”
Wow. How elegant is that? 2 words saved my day. I must have been a Man of Few Words in my previous life. This became the topic for this story. No more, no less. Part 3A.
And this brings me to the following.
It is important to have diverse topics to write on. Okay, I am writing this paragraph to tie it with Part 3. 3A comes after 3, right? We need to buffer for Life contingencies.
When there is nothing we can write in times of contingency, write about the contingency. It is a legit topic.
Next, do not abandon consistent efforts when Life Hijacks. Weirdly, fitness, and writing share the same fate. They get ejected out of our day when we get busy. I make sure that they stick with flexibility.
- When time is not on my side, I will still run. I slice 8km on the plan to 5km on execution. In compensation, I run faster on a shorter distance. In that way, the integrity of the plan is maintained.
- When time is not on my side, I will still write. I put the plan aside and write what comes to mind. I enter into the State of Flow faster and hit the publish button earlier. In that way, the integrity of the plan is preserved.
Hey fellas. Have a plan and stick to it. Be flexible okay?
Because there are always hijacks in Life.
And never fret.
Because in Life, there is always a Part 3A to save our day.
Get Started And Happy Writing.
