How to Battle Your Bad Eating Habits With Ketogenic Lifestyle
A ketogenic diet can change the way you look at weight loss

What if I tell you you can lose weight without even going to the gym? Does that sound unreal — too good to be true? Well, certainly not. I tried myself, and the result was excellent. I lost 12 pounds in just one month.
My nine-to-five job doesn’t allow me to spend much time in the gym. Well, let’s not blame the job. Actually, I hate to spend time smelling other people’s sweat in the gym. So one day, I was searching for an easy way to lose my extra weight. And that’s the time my curiosity forced me to know about the ketogenic diet.
If you are wondering, a ketogenic diet is a high-fat, adequate-protein, low-carbohydrate diet that almost replaces your carb intake with good fat. The purpose is to produce ketone bodies out of fat and use them for energy instead of carbs. The process is called ketosis. Anyway, simply put, a ketogenic diet is a very low carb, high-fat diet.
Anyway, I have watched videos from a popular lifestyle modifier in our country, read a few articles, and started keto-diet for one month to see what happens.
Interestingly, the ketogenic lifestyle helped me to battle my bad eating habit as well. Here is how I did it. I hope it can help you too.
Follow your ketogenic diet plan
My ketogenic diet chart was simple, and I followed it religiously. In the morning, I started with a bullet coffee and two fried eggs with some cashews. Lunch was simple that included vegetables and two/three pieces of meat. One hour before lunch, I used to take one glass of water with one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with the mother. It helps you digest your food well.
I used to take simple evening fruit snacks, and then at dinner, I would take vegetables, chicken, and one or two pieces of fish.
See, the diet plan was so simple. You can also set your keto-diet plan by consulting your nutritionist or lifestyle modifier. But when you set your rule, never break it. The first few days will be tough, but then your body will get habituated.
Don’t eat too much between meals
To control your bad eating habit, you must forsake eating between meals. I know it’s easy to get tempted when all the tasty foods are floating around. But keep your focus on the future, when you will lose weight and become fit and beautiful.
Stop purchasing foods that are not allowed in a ketogenic diet for a month.
What I did, I kept all the tasty yet high carb foods packaged in opaque containers. I applied the out-of-side, out-of-mind theory. You can do it too. It really helps a lot.
Keep keto-friendly foods in your kitchen
Keep you surrounded with keto-friendly foods only. If you want to eat fruits, eat low-carb fruits like strawberries, avocados, watermelon, raspberries, tomato, peaches, cantaloupe, lemons, and star fruit.
Based on your preference, you may eat cashews, Brazil nuts, almonds, walnuts, pecans, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, etc.
There are a lot of keto-friendly foods. You can eat a lot of seafood, fish, meat, vegetables, dairy products, and more. Read this article to know more keto-friendly foods that you can keep in your kitchen.
Use a smaller plate
It is a great way to keep your food intake in check. Using a smaller plate helps you take less food and therefore saves you from overeating and gaining weight.
Smaller plates make food servings appear significantly larger, tricking your mind into thinking you’re about to consume more calories than you really are.
So, don’t forget to replace your plate with a smaller one.
Unsubscribe your food channels
Yes, it may sound funny but it works. When you are on a mission to get into shape, unsubscribe your favorite YouTube cooking and pastry channels.
Do not watch cooking programs on TV as well. Because most of the foods are rich in carbs and very tempting from the outside.
If you stop watching cooking shows and the enticing presentation of foods, it will be easier for you to avoid those foods in your day-to-day life.
Watch ketogenic food videos, Join a social media group
Join a social media ketogenic food group and see how others are dealing with their food temptation. Observe how they are losing weight and getting into shape.
Be inspired to see others and keep yourself away from bad food habits. Imagine the day when you will look fit and healthy like them.
When you are on a weight-loss mission, it’s always great to have inspiration from those who already achieved it.
Keep a positive mindset and stay motivated
Keep a positive mindset and stay motivated. Take daily records of your improvement. You can track your daily gain by using any app as well. It will remind you that you are on a mission to upgrade your life by losing weight and getting into shape.
If other people can do that, so can you. Focus on your keto diet, slowly get out of your bad food habit. Trust me — you will be in shape soon.
To conclude
I was overweight by 15 pounds, and after my first month of keto-diet, I lost 12 pounds. I was really surprised by the result. It helped me to be in better shape. But more than that, it helped me to keep my body energized and functional.
An obese body is a burden. Those who are overweight know it well. Obese people face the day to day trauma. But checking your food habits and shifting towards a ketogenic lifestyle can set you free from the burden and make you more confident than ever.
As I have tried it, I highly recommend you do so. Consult your nutritionist and tackle your bad food habit with a ketogenic lifestyle.
