Why the young are buying fake vaccination cards online at the risk of contacting Covid-19 or even dying

Penny-wise, dollar foolish represents how the young people are taking a chance on their lives, spending up to $600 for a card, not wanting to take a vaccine that may save their lives or a loved one. With the vaccine card, they may fool some of the people some of the time or all the people all the time but they cannot fool Covid-19, Delta, or any other virus strains. The viruses care nothing about a paper card and the card does nothing to protect one’s immunity and/or respiratory system from being affected by any of the viruses. What good is a paper card when a paper card carrier ends up on a ventilator? How is that card working out then?

While fake Covid-19 vaccine cards online worry college officials but should be equally worrying the young because they are putting not only their lives at risk but their family and friends also. Since many colleges and universities are mandating that students be vaccinated if attending in-person classes and need to show proof, this is how many of the students are responding.

While these young people are cheating the system, they cannot cheat death while they are being penny wise and dollar foolish. These vaccine cards are being sold across social media at an alarming rate, all different variations of them, blank, filled out, paper, and/or laminated for any price up to $600. These purchasers do not want to be vaccinated for personal, political, or religious reasons thereby taking a chance on their lives as the rate of increase with the delta virus is escalating through the roof, and hospital beds are filled to capacity.

These vaccine card sellers are capitalizing on the fear of the unvaccinated who are confused due to politics and the many mixed messages that can be readily heard on television, radios, and all social media. These sellers use words to continue the confusion by calling the vaccination, “poisonous vaccine”, and being a “guinea pig”. Some of these vaccine cards are being shipped from all over the world, namely, China.

As the universities and colleges are mandating vaccination and refusing to move forward with registration for classes until the students can prove evidence of vaccination has caused this surge in fake vaccination card purchases.

Now educational institutions must come up with checks and balances to counteract these fake vaccination cards that may prove a detriment to the faculty, campus, and other vaccinated student body.

Thus far, the United States only has electronic systems that are designed to handle the paper card. With this new surge of deception, policies need to be implemented for the safety of the entire campus and disciplinary action needs to result from violating the school’s policy with false documents. Perhaps, the national digital vaccine passport app would be a viable alternative not only for schools but organizations and businesses also. Nothing is a foolproof system but better to have as much as possible than not enough.

There exist much outcry about these fake vaccination, even bipartisan coalition of 47 state attorneys general have contacted social media, Twitter, Shopify, and eBay to remove ads or links selling the fake vaccination cards. Websites, (Counterfeit Center, Jimmy Black Market, Buy Express Documents, messaging apps, Buy Real Fake Passport), chat forums, and the dark web have become a mecca for selling these fake vaccination cards. These sites and locations are producing these fake cards by the thousands per day.

Some public colleges and universities in 13 states are at the mercy of these fake vaccination cards due to their inability legally to mandate Covid-19 vaccinations due to state legislation, unlike private institutions.

In conclusion, the human race must strive to do what is best for the population at large, and false vaccination cards should not be a part of the equation and will not solve the problem with the pandemic but will inevitably make it worse where millions of lives could be lost due to such a selfish act. Please reach out to your nearest youth with wisdom about saving their lives and their loved ones. Each one reaches one, and that one will reach another, each one teach one and that one will teach another, and collectively we win the war against Covid-19, Delta, and all the other strains.
