Abstract

9d13">As the thing in itself cannot be known, we are left with patterns of rationality as the only relevant reality (idealism). These patterns of intelligibility structure reality, and like living things they can develop towards more rational states. The name for this kind of extended mind in German is Geist, meaning a combination of mind and spirit.

The development of Geist is driven by two processes: differentiation / articulation, and integration. Together, they comprise the systematization of the world itself. This autonomous system gradually evolves as it synthesizes opposing ideas through the dialectical process. In this way, rationality (and thereby reality) realizes itself, ultimately becoming self-aware in the form of the World Spirit (or God).

One of the consequences is that God, as the self-organizing principle of reality, is again seen as rational, and we can again access the divine through rational reflection. Hegel is effectively translating religion into philosophy.

While popular in his time, Hegel’s ideas faced critiques on numerous front

How I Found Hope In A Brown Leaf

Because of its color, it had no life left in it. I see life and death speaking to me.

A sad feeling overwhelmed me today because of something someone very close to me did, and I questioned my life.

I felt like giving up.

Yes, I did. Life has ways of pushing trials and tests in my way when I am too happy.

Negativity will come in if you allow it in.

It’s incredible. We think we are strong, and the tiniest of incidents can destroy years of hard work.

Surrounded by many green leaves, I noticed a brown leaf hanging bottom first in my mango tree while cleaning my yard today.

I eased in closer, wondering what was holding it up.

Cobwebs trapped the leaf in place as it swayed in the wind. It held on as if it was holding on to hope and life.

Because of its color, it had no life left in it.

I see life and death speaking to me.

Death was hanging up in the brown leaf, and life hung down in the many green leaves.

I saw what would happen to me if I allowed negativity to take control.

I saw myself as the brown leaf.

I googled the symbol of the color brown:

A sense of strength and reliability. Brown is often seen as solid, much like the earth, and it’s a color often associated with resilience, dependability, security, and safety.

#Iintend2survive, so I quickly rebound, throwing that negative vibe in the trash.

Life and humans will test you often.

Hope is everywhere.

Don’t give up, Charlene. Hope is everywhere!

Thank you for reading this piece. I hope you enjoy it and will continue giving hope to everyone.
